I've always disliked getting up in winter. As a child, I would drag myself out of bed, my eyes half-closed, and watch my school uniform hanging in front of the bed. These days, I set several alarms to ensure I'm woken up.

Interested in technology, I often test fascinating devices (electronic tools). Most of them are fun, but few really change my life in the long run. Sunrise alarm pillows, however, are different. They've become an important part of my morning routine. My top pick, the sunrise alarm pillows, have greatly done me good. I'm waking up every day, feeling more energetic and mentally sharper.

The sunrise alarm pillow also helps develop healthier sleep habits. In our tech-driven world, waking up often means immediately checking our phones. An advantage of sunrise alarm clocks is that your morning wake-up no longer needs your phone. Stopping a smartphone alarm means your day begins with eyes on screen. ____

Sleep is personal, and no single device fits everyone. But for me, the sunrise alarm pillow has been a game-changer. If you are struggling with dark mornings, it's worth a shot. After all, some morning people are made, not born.

These years, short videos( 短 视 频 ) have become popular online. Many people make and share short videos on social media. Short videos are usually 15 seconds to a few minutes long. They show people doing activities like cooking, exercising and singing. 

People of all ages enjoy these videos. More than 50 percent of junior high school students say they enjoy watching these short videos. About 47 percent of them have posted their own videos, according to a recent report by China National Youth Palace Association. 

The videos let teenagers see funny and exciting things they don't usually see. Many teens like to share the fun things they do with others as well. For example, a 12-year-old user has posted videos showing her learning jazz dance. This has won many fans. 

However, the videos also bring a problem. Some students spend too much time watching them and don't have enough time to study. 

To solve this problem, some short video apps have added a new function(功能). They will lock(锁)themselves if teenagers use them for more than two hours a day. 

Why not find a new friend in 2025—yourself! Treat yourself with kindness, respect and love. These are things you would expect from a good friendship and you don't have to go far to find them.  What does self-love mean?  Imagine your best friend is worried or sad, then think about how you'd make them feel better. Speaking to yourself with kindness. Be as kind to yourself as you are to others. 

 Because learning to love who you are improves your self-respect. The mental health centre says this makes you believe in yourself and feel that you deserve( 值 得 ) having good things—such as kind friends and fun experiences. 

 Start to be kind to yourself, especially when you make a mistake. Instead of being angry, tell yourself that everyone gets things wrong sometimes. Try not to compare yourself to others.  Write down your good points and ask your family and friends for their thoughts. This will help you see the positives in your life.
