Hello, everyone. I'm in No. 10 Middle School now. 

Can you play Tai Chi? Tai Chi is becoming International important part of culture and healthy exercise. On March21st, over 1, 200 Tai Chi lovers celebrated the first International Taijiquan Day in Wuyi Mountain. This is the first time a martial(军事的) art has  (it) own international day. People  (choose) March 21st as Taijiquan Day last year. The date is close to the Spring Equinox(春分) this shows Tai Chi's key idea: finding balance between life and nature. 

Tai Chi comes an old Chinese idea of harmony(和谐). It is a very  (health) exercise and people of all ages can practise it. A Thai teacher said his school started teaching Tai Chi in2015. Students were interested in it and learned the slow movements  (quick). 

Today, Tai Chi is a bridge for cultural exchange. The local officials held twenty-eight good  (activity) about culture and travel. They would like (use) the beautiful mountains and tea culture to encourage Tai Chi training and health travel. So (practise) Tai Chi every day for good health. It will bring you a lot.

What was it like to be part of the festival? We interviewed(采访) some students. 

Hu Jiaming, props manager

Hu showed us the red flag he made (他自己). He explained, "It stands for the (精神) of the Red Army. It showed up at the most important moment of our play!"

Bi Mingtai,  (演员)

We also talked to Bi. "Our play is all about working hard. My team learned that lesson! We didn't give up.  (反而;代替), we spent two weeks practicing the lines. We improved our acting skills step by step and never  (讨厌) to try again. " he told us.

Practice wasn't always  (令人疲惫的). We laughed a lot, too. Cai told us a funny story: "My classmate was so excited that he almost fell off the stage! He shouted with a scared  (嗓音). Luckily, our teacher was right there to catch him. "

 (最后;终于), our teacher shared how proud she was. "I want to /preɪz/ you all. You get better at English and learn more about our culture. I/həʊp/ you can share Chinese stories with more people in the future! " she said.

On April 19, our school turned into a theater! Students from Grades 1 to 9 took part in an amazing drama. From the story of Mulan to the Chinese zodiac  (生肖), we turned our favorite  Chinese stories into English plays. At first, some of us couldn't remember lines, but we didn't give up, and no one laughed at others, . After a few weeks of practice, we. On the big day, we wore the colourful clothes and did our best. went well. It was a great success. 

Archie is a little boy from a small village in the UK. Many kids may dream of being scientists or astronauts. However, Archie has a1 dream. He wants to be a great2 and keep1, 000, 000 chickens!

Archie loves chickens more than most kids love toys. His family rented (租) a field for him. With the help of his parents, he now   3 about 50 chickens. Every morning before school, he runs to the4 with a big smile and visits his favorite hen. He believes she might be the biggest chicken in the world!

Archie says his love for farming started because his bedroom window faces open fields. When he learned that some chickens live in5 places, he wanted to help. His family6 with just five chickens in their small garden, but soon the number grew. In October, they moved to a7 field. Now a shop in the area sells their eggs. Archie8 all the money he makes. One day, he wishes to buy his own farm!

When someone asked him again how many chickens he would like to have, Archie9 and said, "Two trillion(万亿)!" before putting on his school uniform and running to school. Tomorrow, he will be back with his chickens again. 

Archie' s story tells us: If you follow your heart and work hard,10 a small dream can grow into something amazing. 

What other rules do you have in your school?(一条即可) 

A little snail (蜗牛) had a big dream (梦想). She wanted to see the world —— big mountains of ice, sharks, and colourful fishes in the sea. But she was too slow to go far. So she sat and waited. 

One day, a big whale came. "Hello!" cried the snail. "Can I ride on your tail? I want to see the world. " The whale smiled. "Come on, little friend. "

They went across the sea. They saw white ice mountains. They saw sharks and bright fishes. The snail was very glad. 

Then a big storm came. The wind blew hard. The waves(海浪) were tall. The whale felt scared and got lost. After the storm, the whale swam too close to the beach. The water of the sea went away from the beach, the whale could not swim and had to stay there. "Help me, " he said. 

The little snail got off the tail and moved to a school near the sea. She wrote on the blackboard:"PLEASE HELP! A WHALE IS ON THE BEACH!"

The children saw the words and ran to the beach quickly. They tried to move the whale. When the water came back in, the whale was free. 

"▲, " the whale said to the snail. "Although you are very small, you saved me. " Then they went away together. They saw new places and had more fun. 

In the daytime, he is a common middle school student. But in his free time, Brayden Belsky is a tech(技术) helper who saves old computers from becoming waste. Twelve-year-old Brayden lives in Maryland, the U. S. A. He works with a group called KindWorks. They fix (修理) old computers and give them to people in need. 

Brayden is very smart. He learned his skills by watching tech videos online. And then he practised with old computers. He loves the hard work of making a slow computer run fast again. "It feels good that I can use my skills to help others, " Brayden says. 

Being the youngest volunteer (志愿者) is not always easy. At first, Brayden was a little afraid when talking to older people. Sometimes, people think he is too young to be that good. However, his hard work always shows that they are wrong. He now feels much better about working in a team. 

Brayden also knows how to balance his life with technology. To stay healthy, he takes a break every hour to rest his eyes and enjoys playing outside. 

Brayden wants other kids to follow their love to help others. "I think it's good for kids to use their different interests to give back, " he says. 

If you go to the cold Arctic, you may see a big white bear. It walks slowly on the snow. But do you know it is also a king of the sea? Scientists call it a marine mammal(海洋哺乳动物) because it lives most of its life on the sea ice. 

The polar bear's body is amazing. Under its white fur, there is thick fat. The fat keeps the bear warm in freezing water. Its big front paws (爪子) help it to move forward through the water. It can even swim faster than the famous Chinese swimmer Pan Zhanle. 

But now, polar bears are in danger. The sea ice is turning into water. They have to swim much farther to find a place to rest. One study found that a mother bear swam for nine days without stopping. She travelled 687 kilometres. When she reached another ice area in the end, she was very thin and tired. 

Polar bears need ice to live. By taking care of our Earth, we can help them. Small changes, like using less energy at home, can help a lot. Together, we can keep the Arctic cold and save these beautiful animals.
