I like fishing with my parents on weekends. My friends don't understand it. They always ask me, "How can you sit with your parents for hours like that?" When they ask me that question, I never say a word. I just smile. 

Last Sunday, I went fishing with my parents on a lake near my home. When we got there, I found a nice place to fish and sat down. My parents sat far away from me. I put some food into the river. But I didn't catch a fish. So I went to see my mum and dad. They didn't catch anything, either. My dad said, "Let's fish together. Maybe we'll be lucky later." I got my things and sat down with him and my mum. We started to talk and I told them about the most interesting teacher at school. We talked and laughed. Soon the sun started to set. We didn't catch any fish, but we had a great day. 

On the way home, I told my mum I wanted to have fish for dinner. "That's a good idea. We can buy one," she said. We all looked at each other and laughed happily. We felt happy because we now understood (理解) each other better.

Without plants, people cannot live. We eat plants. We  the oxygen that plants produce. And we need plants  they make our cities and our life beautiful and colourful. That's why even in big cities, we have parks full  trees, green grass and different kinds of flowers. Also you are  to find some green plants and flowers in the rooms in every city. 

But do you talk to your plants? Do you give  love and attention (注意)? The book The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird says that you should talk to them and give them love. The book  a very interesting study. They planted two  in different places. When the plants were growing, they gave one plant much love and hopeful ideas. , they gave the other plant nothing but bad ideas. After six months, the loved plant was bigger. It had more and longer  under the ground, and it had a stronger stem and more leaves. 

So plants need our care and love as well as humans. We should  our plants so that we can live better with nature.

Today is Wednesday. It is a nice day. Linda has her favourite English class at 9：00 a.m.

"I love English. It is easy and very interesting," Linda says happily. Mrs Green is her new English teacher. She is thirty and she is from the UK. Mrs Green comes and says, "Good morning, boys and girls! I am your new English teacher. Nice to meet you! I can speak Chinese well, but in class I just speak English with you. Because it can help you improve (提高) your listening."

Before class, Mrs Green reads a short English story to students. Then she takes out some pictures of students. "Now class begins. Let's play a game," Mrs Green says. Then she casts (分配角色) students as the boys and girls in the English book. It's great fun! Linda tells her parents about the class after school. Her parents say, "That's really a superb idea because it can help you study English well."

Linda does lots of fun things in class. Students are all happy and want to see Mrs Green every school day.

Jay lives in a village. He grows vegetables, fruit and flowers in his garden. They grow very well all through the year 1 spring to winter. And he sells them in his store.
