Are you troubled by housework, such as cleaning tables or tidying your room? A new robot is here to help!  Recently, short videos of a robot called Mobile Aloha cooking at someone's home caught lots of attention online. 

In the videos, we can see the robot preparing dishes on its own, from cutting vegetables to cooking eggs. It's also good at watering plants, petting cats, cleaning the floor and washing clothes. Linda, a 40-year-old housewife joked, "As long as this thing doesn't try to hurt me while I am asleep, I am in real need of it. "

Well, another video may disappoint her. Mobile Aloha carelessly broke glasses and plates, knocked into things and even burned a dish. In fact, Mobile Aloha isn't good at doing housework on its own. Instead, it learns from human actions before doing each kind of housework. When the situation changes, it can't work well without a human" teaching" it. The robot can successfully move chairs 80 percent of the time. For cooking dishes, it's only 40percent. In short, it's far from perfect. 

AI robots are good at tasks such as math and playing chess, but they perform worse than a one-year-old child when it comes to simple tasks like cleaning. And it's the same for Mobile Aloha. ④For example, if its body doesn't move correctly even just with a small deviation, its arm may move too far to pick up a glass.

"You are just like your mother. " This phrase is often said by many. As we grow older, we may notice that we're getting more like our mother.  Yet surprisingly, new research has found that most people are more similar to their father. 

A team of scientists from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in the US found that we get equal amounts of genes from our mother and father. But we use more of the DNA we get from our father. 

The study helps us to explain who we are to a certain degree. And more importantly, it helps us to find out whether we are likely to develop diseases. For example, if we get the gene for a disease from our mother, it may not be as strong as if we had got it from our father. 

We know that there are 95 genes influenced by our parents, said lead researcher Professor Fernando Pardo-Manuel de Villena. These are called imprinted genes. But now, the study has found that there are thousands of other genes that have come from our parents. 

For the study, the scientists picked out three different kinds of mice with different genes. The mice then gave birth to nine babies each. When they all reached adulthood, the team then measured every single gene of their DNA. 

They found an imbalance that turned toward their father. Villena also said that the recent study was the first to show that mammals are more similar to their fathers than mothers.

Inbound visits to South China's Hainan Province are increasing. It's because the province is making efforts to launch and restore more international flight routes. 

The first international air route between Hainan and the Middle East hasstarted. Hainan Airlines' flight HU763 from Haikou Meilan International Airport to Zayed International Airport last week is a new connection. 

President Yang of Hainan Airport Group said that 2024 is the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE. The new route helps the airport build a regional hub. It's also an attempt to develop overseas routes with e-commerce and air cargo. 

Hainan Airport Group signed an agreement with Dubai Integrated Economic Zones and Zayed International Airport. They want to create investment channels for the aviation industry. 

Hainan restored and opened 50 overseas routes for passengers and cargo in 2023 to improve global connections. This year, it plans to restore 62 routes. 

Elena Sorlini from Zayed International Airport said the new route is important. It boosts connectivity and creates opportunities. 

Hainan aims to have 1 million international overnight visitors in 2024. A representative from the tourism department said more routes will attract tourists, improve internationalization and upgrade the industry. 

The routes will make Hainan more famous and popular globally. 

These days schools don't allow students to bring mobile phones to schools. Many parents are worried. How can they connect with their kids? Well, smart watches may be the answer to their worries. Smart watches are like small computers. They usually tell time and count a person's steps. Most smart watches connect with smart phones and they let the users make calls, and send and receive messages. Often smart watches have microphones and speakers(扬声器). Some even have cameras. 

Children are too young to have a mobile phone, so many parents buy smart watches for them. They are less worried because they can call their children at any time through smart watches. Also, many smart watches have positioning system trackers(追踪器). These trackers allow parents to know where their children are, so they know if everything is OK. 

But now some groups in Europe say many smart watches are not as safe as what we think. Some watches allow more than parents to track where the children are. They also allow anyone to send the children a message. People can also control the watches from far away and watch or listen to the children. To be safe, when a smart watch makes a call or sends a message or positioning system information, the information should be processed. So no one else can get the information.
