The cartoon film Ne Zha 2 hit the big screen on January 29, 2025. The film Ne Zha 2  (make) by a director named Jiaozi. It has become one of the best  (film) of China's daily box office (票房). 

After his amazing adventures (冒险) in  first story, Ne Zha returned to his village, where everything seemed  (peace). However, after a terrible "Heavenly Tribulation", Ne Zha and Ao Bing lost their bodies.  (lucky), Taiyi Zhenren saved their souls (灵魂) with a magical seven-colored lotus (莲藕). But soon, their souls were  danger again. Taiyi Zhenren then tried  (help) them rebuild their bodies using special materials. 

In this movie Ne Zha grows a lot. He learns to care about his friends. Ao Bing also changes. He becomes a brave warrior (勇士). The scenes in the movie are very beautiful. The colors are bright, and the world in the movie looks real. We can see big and beautiful palaces under the sea. There are also many Chinese traditional things and touching parts. 

Ne Zha 2 has not only made a lot of money at the box office but also  (win) high praise from people. It shows  (we) the power of friendship and the importance of being brave. I think it is a movie  is really worth watching!

Huang Xuhua: The Father of China's Nuclear Submarines (核潜艇)

Huang Xuhua, a great Chinese scientist, left us on February 6th, 2025. But his great deeds and strong spirit will always stay in our hearts and keep lighting up China's way forward. 

Huang Xuhua was born in Guangdong Province in 1926. When he was young, he saw the hard times of his country under foreign attacks (侵略). These sad memories made him study hard. He made a promise to make the country strong with his knowledge. 

In the 1950s, when China started to develop nuclear submarines, it was a very difficult job. Huang Xuhua was not afraid and stood up bravely. At that time, there was not much high technology or many resources (资源). Huang and his team faced many difficulties. To keep the project secret, they cut off communication with the outside world for years. 

During the design, they had lots of problems. Designing a nuclear reactor (核反应堆) was very hard. They couldn't get help from foreign experts, so they used simple tools like abacuses (算盘) to do the calculations (计算). Another problem was to make the submarine stable (稳定的) underwater. After many tries, they finally solved these problems. 

Finally, in 1970, China's first nuclear submarine was built and tested successfully. This made China one of the few countries that had this ability. Huang Xuhua didn't stop after this big success. He continued to work on submarine technology and received many honors. 

Now, when we think of him, we know that his life is a great inspiration to us. We especially the young people, should learn from his spirit. Let's take on the responsibility, face challenges bravely, and work hard to make China stronger. In this way, his spirit will live on forever. 

Chinese writing has a history of six or seven thousand years. Calligraphy (书法), the art of writing, is almost as old as writing itself. 

In ancient times, written Chinese was the first symbols and pictures.  Later, characters and even full sentences were written on animal bones or shells for communication. 

With time passing by, a number of written forms appeared. Each had its own local style. In the 3rd century BC, the first emperor, Qinshihuang, set the same standard for the written characters—"small seal script".  That writing system was very important in uniting (联合) the Chinese people and culture. At the same time, as people needed to write faster in daily life and work, Cheng Miao developed another style called "clerical" script.  By Han times, calligraphers had created a new style known as "regular" script. From the Tang Dynasty, it became the standard form used in government exams. 

 What we needed were the Four Treasures of the study: a brush, ink (墨) stick, ink stone and paper. Students of calligraphy practiced the main types of script and improved their skills by copying the works of past masters. With the increase of their knowledge and practice, they slowly developed their own styles. 

The art of calligraphy reached a high point in the 4th century. At that time there were many famous calligraphers.  Calligraphy remains a living art form to this day. It has become part of the school courses to pass on the Chinese culture. 

These days, DeepSeek has received a lot of attention on the Internet. So what is DeepSeek? It's a Chinese AI company (人工智能公司) set up by a man called Liang Wenfeng on July 17, 2023. The members of his team have studied in the top universities in China and have no overseas (海外的) educational experience, and most of them are under 34 years old. They are also very good at math, physics and coding (编码). The company works on AI, especially big models. You can think of it like building a super smart brain that can think and solve problems like humans. 

On January 20 2025, DeepSeek made a new AI called DeepSeek-R1. This smart program can solve math problems, write code, answer questions and even understand language like top models such as Open AI's ChatGPT-4. This made the whole world completely surprised because it cost much less to build. It only took the team 85. 58 million (1/70 of Open AI's cost) and 2, 048 computer chips (芯片), and two months to create it. 

This shows that good ideas can be a big help. On its first day online, over 19, 000 programmers around the world started projects to study it. Even Meta's (a famous U. S. tech company) top scientist said, "This kind of free AI could change the world. "

DeepSeek shows that China can make great progress in technology. Its open and cheap way of working may encourage the young to learn about AI. In the future, more students and people who make new things might use DeepSeek's ideas to create new and exciting technology. 

Have you ever thought of living in weightless conditions in space? Do you want to go through daily life as an astronaut in the space station? In fact, common people have no chance of this kind. 

James is a university student. His childhood dream was to be an astronaut. He managed to take part in an important project carried out (实施) in a lab in his university. He was chosen to be a group leader of eight students. They had to live in the closed lab where the living condition was similar to that in the space station. 

James was proud to be an "astronaut" and couldn't wait for it. After several days, in the lab, he and his group members found that the daily life there was more difficult than expected. Growing crops (庄稼) was one of their daily tasks. However, no crops came up though they tried to do everything they could. The students worked together day and night to find how to solve it. One day when they found one crop came up, James couldn't help crying with cheers. Everything seemed to go smoothly, and soon, 30 kinds of crops were able to grow. 

The students were also required to record their health like blood pressure every day. They were watched by scientists outside. Thankfully, the students kept healthy until the end. The purpose of the whole project was to collect useful information to improve living conditions for astronauts in space. In total, James' group stayed in the lab for 200 days. This set a world record for the longest stay in a simulative (模拟的) space station.
