How to be a person with good manners

As the saying goes, "Manners make the man". A person with good manners behaves politely. As teenagers, what should we do to show good manners?

Do you obey the rules in your school? How do you like your scho olrules? A lot of school rules are similar around the world, but some a redifferent. Every school has their own rules. 

There are some rules in Japanese schools. The students are not allowed to dye(染) their hair and should keep the hair black. They are not allowed to wear earrings, either. Almost all schools required students to wearu niforms in the past but now half of the schools require uniforms. The students fe elhappy to wear all kinds of clothes. The students mustn't be late for school. If they are late, they can't get into the school gate because the school gate is closed. InJap an, students are not allowed to have part-time jobs because they may not concentrate on their study. 

American schools have their own rules. For example, in Morton High School, students are not allowed to choose their own clothes. They must get to school and leave school on time. They must wear sports shoes in gym class. They should keep quiet in the school bus. In America, the students can have part-time jobs in their free time. 

China is an old country with a rich culture. When travelling to China, understanding Chinese c and customs (习俗) is important for you to behave in a good way. 

It's becoming popular for foreigners to be i into Chinese homes. Being invited to a Chinese family's home can be a wonderful and warm e . Chinese people are known to be very welcoming (好客的). When you're invited to a Chinese family's home, make sure that you arrive on time. Don't forget to say good words about s special you like in the house. Gifts are usually given when visiting someone's home or being invited for dinner. Chinese people like to r. fruit or tea in a nice box or basket. 

After some small talk, c the dinner. A Chinese dinner table is a happy place, full of delicious food and conversation. When invited over for dinner, make sure to notice what everybody e is doing and try to do the same. You'd better eat plenty of food to show you're enjoying it. Don't finish off the w. dish, but leave a small amount of food on the plates. It sho ws that the host has prepared enough food. 

For foreigners, Chinese people may be very curious. Chinese people aren't afraid to ask personal questions, even if you've met for the f time. So, don't be surprised to be asked things like your age, your educatio nor your work. You do not have to answer these questions. If you don 'twant to talk about your own life, just explain to them.
