People often talk about healthy children.  If you are healthy, your body works well, and you can do all the things you want. Parents only ask you to have healthy meals. 

Eat different kinds of food, especially fruit and vegetables. You may have your favourite food, but you'd better eat different kinds of food. If you do so, you can meet more of your body needs. Taste new foods and old ones you haven't tried for a while. Some food, such as fruit and vegetables, is better. 

 When you are really thirsty, water is the No. 1 choice. You also need calcium(钙) to grow strong bones, and milk is the best choice. 

What else can we do to become healthy children? (不超过10词） 

Children sometimes get ill and have to go to hospital. Some of  (they)  have to stay there for a few days. It's (real) not good for them to think about their illness (疾病) all day long. They need some other things to think about, so people ask  (friend) animals to help. In some places, people often take animals  (visit) children in hospital. They may bring a little dog or a cute monkey the children. Most children are excited to see them. , some children can't get close to the animals, because the animals may make their illness get even worse (更糟糕).  can we do to help these children? The hospitals get  good idea. They work with zoos to make some films about how (love) animals. A man called Denny gives $7. 4 million to make a TV network (电视网) to show them. It's still used in many hospital in the US today. Children in hospital can watch them and learn about  (animal) living habits.

How much exercise do children need to keep in good health? Every parent wants to know the answer. In the US, many people think that children should get more than an hour of exercise each day. It is the same in the UK. 

A study shows that children should exercise for their muscles and bones more than three times a week. Children can do activities like climbing and playing on monkey bars–this kind of exercise is good for their muscles. Jumping and running are good for their bones. Children should also do aerobic (有氧的) exercise every day. They can walk fast or go running. However, many children don't like doing exercise of playing sports outside. Today, many children like playing computer games or watching TV at home every day. What can parents do to help the children do sports outside?

Dr. Stephanie Walsh says she often sees parents taking long walks with their children as a kind of exercise, but that might not be the best way. 

"Although walking is a great activity, it's really boring for children. So, if you're going to ask your children to go for a walk, think of some fun things to do along the way, " she says.

⑤Winter is also dangerous for birds because it snows a lot. Some birds get ready for winter by eating a lot of food to keep themselves warm while some birds fly to the south for the winter. 

⑥As you can see, birds have many ways against bad weather. Although danger is always around them, they will probably be just fine. 

It is hard to be a farmer. Cold weather can kill your plants. Bugs（虫子) can eat your plants. Weeds (杂草) can hurt your plants. Your plants may need more rain than they get. Fruit and vegetables can go bad before you sell them. Some people say farmers can solve all these problems with GM food (转基因食物). 

What is GM food? All living things have DNA. DNA tells how living things grow. These days, people can change DNA that tells food how to grow. When people change DNA of the food, it is called GM food. 

Some GM food can grow in cold weather. GM food can stop bugs from eating it. GM fruit and vegetables can stay longer. One day, GM food may be able to grow in dry land in Africa. It will feed people who do not have much food. 

But there is a lot we do not know about GM food. Will GM companies help poor people grow food? Or do GM companies just want to get rich? Does GM food kill bugs we need, like butterflies? Does GM food make birds sick? Does GM food make people sick? We do not know. There aren't enough tests on GM food. 

①Do you like travelling? More and more students like riding bikes to travel on the road. But it may be dangerous on your trip. For your own safety, do the following things. 

②Wear a bike helmet (头盔) and it can protect your head. Look for a helmet that fits you well. Even the most expensive helmet won't protect you if it doesn't fit. 

 ③Wear the right clothes. They can make you feel better. And they can also protect you. Bright-coloured clothes help people see you clearly—even in the daytime. Don't wear dark-coloured clothes like black or brown while riding a bike. 

④Keep the rules of the road while riding a bike. Always ride on the right side of the street in the same direction (方向). Never change your direction without first looking behind you. And don't ride too closely to the cars—the cars may stop and the door may open suddenly! Finally, don't wear earphones while riding a bike. You need to hear what's going on around you. 

⑤If you follow the advice above, you'll be safe when riding on the road. 

Rules are very important in our life. Now some middle schools are going to use a new way to decide (决定) the top student list. The best students shouldn't only get good1 They should not dye (染发) their hair or drink. Here are some of the new rules. 

Tell the truth. Do you like to copy (抄袭) others' work in an exam? Don't do it. That's not a thing a student should do. If you play computer games for two hours in your room, don't 2 your parents you are doing homework.

Evan had always wanted a pet, but he was allergic (过敏的) to dogs. His mother was allergic to cats. His father was afraid of rodents, and  (he) little sister was afraid of reptiles. Evan was hopeless.

Before words were words, a boy named Yes lived in a small kingdom. Yes was good at everything and whenever someone asked Yes for help, he would1 help. However, his brother, No, was not much good at anything. 

One day Yes asked 2 brother to watch the animals while he went to find some food to eat. No didn't do what Yes asked and 3 , he lay down and fell asleep.

Colonel mans: It's so dark out there and you feel so alone, floating in your space suit. You look down and see Earth below you. It feels like you are flying on top of the world— and you are! Our job out there was to upgrade the space station's solar arrays.

Colonel mans: I think it's important to celebrate our diversity and community to young people. Knowing that a Native American woman is flying in space may inspire kids to go after their own dreams.

Colonel mans: Never give up on yourself. It might be scary to take on something hard, but don't be afraid to try new things. Go out and try it. If you aren't successful, then learn from it, work hard, and try again. That's how you'll build mental toughness and find success. Don't get discouraged!

It was another hot late-July Thursday in Philadelphia. Christine Dawn King, a 52- year-old caregiver for the elderly, was rushing to work. But the traffic on the high way was heavy, as usual. She moved into the exit lane (驶出车道), which was moving very slowly.

Without hesitation, Christine King stopped her car, jumped out, and ran toward the man. "Give me the baby!" she shouted, "Don't do this!" 

The man moved closer to the edge, but Christine King and the woman stopped him, trying to reach the 18- month-old girl, "Get off my baby!" the man screamed (尖叫). When Christine King tried to grab the child, he looked straight at her and said, "I've got a gun, and I will shoot you."

Christine King didn't see a gun, but she believed him. Her body started shaking. "OK," she said, stepping back. 

She looked around at the stopped traffic. Isn't anyone going to help me? she thought. Many people were filming on their phone's, but no one got out of their cars. It was up to Christine King, a mother of five, to stop this horrible situation. 

Christine King moved closer and begged, "Just give me the baby." The man stepped back against the guard rail. Again and again, Christine King tried to grab the girl but couldn't free her. Then, sirens sounded — the police had arrived. The child's mother suddenly shouted, "I have a gun! It's his gun!" She had taken it from his pocket during their struggle. 

The police rushed in with their guns out. "They're going to shoot you," Christine King warned the man. "Give me the baby." 

But he refused. The officers took him by his arm and in the terrible mess, Christine King managed to pull the scared child away and hand her to her mother. The police then controlled the man.

The child was safe. The mother explained through tears that the man had found them after a break up and forced them into the car. 

Later, the man admitted several crimes and was sentenced (宣判) to up to 23 months in prison. Many people have asked Christine King why she risked her life for strangers. She wonders why no one else helped. "I don't have to know her," she says, referring to the mother. "I here was a baby involved (牵连)."
