Do you like travelling? These days, my college classmates are (发疯的) about "special forces style" tourism, They (更喜爱) to spend the least time and money visiting the most (风景). I also want to have a try, so I had a one-day trip with my friend to Xi' an. 

We made a (清单) about the places we wanted to go to. The first was the Terracotta Army. They looked similar to (人) very much. Our guide patiently explained to us why Qin ShiHuang built it. There are about 7, 000 soldiers in(总共), Later, we hurried to the Shaanxi History Museum. We were watching the works of art while our guide was explaining the meaning of them. Before leaving, I bought some stamps as presents. In the evening, we went to the Muslim Quarter Night Market, because I was hungry and (渴的) then, None of the night markets could be livelier. The street vendors. (供应) all kinds of delicious food. We knew more about the  (文化) in our country. 

It's (无疑的) that it was the best trip I have ever taken. Such a trip can bring a much brighter colour to my busy school life!

When planning for your future, are you more interested in getting a job or having a career? There is a difference between the two. A job is something that will provide you with money. A career, however, is perhaps more satisfying because you will be able to follow your interests. 

Zhong Fangrong, from a poor family in Hunan, is now a Beijing University student. She was once faced with this choice. Many people advised her to study economics (经济学) or business. A degree in these subjects would lead to a good job and good pay. It would make her be able to help her poor parents. But Zhong has decided to study archaeology (考古学). She wants to choose a career that she is fond of. 

Making a lot of money is good. However, I think being happy in your work is even better. Money, as it is said, can't buy happiness, so it makes no sense to spend your life doing work that makes you unhappy. 

If you are not sure about your future work, you should ask your parents and teachers for advice. You should also look for role models. In Zhong's case, her role model is the famous archaeologist Fan Jinshi. Fan has studied the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang for more than fifty years. When Zhong wrote to Fan about her interest in archaeology, Fan replied with some advice. I think all of you should follow it: "Don't forget your dreams. Keep them alive and focus on your studies." 

There are many kinds of work. People do different things in their work. We talked to three young people about their careers. Read about them. 

Jane, 22: I 'm a travel agent. I plan vacations for different kinds of people. I need to buy plane tickets, book hotel rooms and make travel plans. I pay attention to the needs of my customers and help solve their travel problems. I really like the working hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day. And I can buy plane tickets at very low prices. 

Grace,24:I sell electronics in a store. I help people make decisions about choosing and buying electronics. I need to know clearly about the information of each product in our store. I'm a fan of technology, so I think it's always interesting to learn about new electronics. Sometimes I have to work late at night, but I still enjoy my work. And they pay me very well. 

Mike,25:I'm a website designer. I make websites for different companies. To make a website for a company, I learn about the company and its needs first. I write down some ideas. After that, I talk to people at the company again to improve my design. Then I complete the website. I like to create new things. I feel so happy when I see the results of my work. Also, I work on my computer at home. This means I can decide my own working hours and have more time with my family. 

Amily is 25 years old and works as a pilot. Her parents believed that girls shouldn't be pilots, but she refused to listen to them. As she did well in her exams, they finally agreed to pay for lessons for her. 

After she finished the lessons, she started to work in an airline (航空公司). Her boss (老板) promised to give her interesting work, traveling to Europe and Asia. She expected to enjoy her job. But all her work was boring, and she didn't do any traveling. She tried to talk to her boss about it, but he didn't listen. 

She always felt unhappy and didn't like how things were going in her life. Then one day last year, she thought, "I don't want to live like this." She decided to do something meaningful. That was why she became a volunteer to rescue people in trouble. Now she can use her flying skills to help lost and injured (受伤的) people when she is off work. She is happy to know that she is making a difference to their lives. 

Volunteering makes her life more colorful. It helps her feel better about herself. So she advises young people to spend some time doing volunteer work if they find their lives boring. 

With the rapid development of digital technologies, there have been a number of fresh professions (职业) in China in recent years. New professions have provided young people with more job choices. They are stepping into these new professions with great interest. 

A virtual architect (虚拟建构师) is a new profession about the game industry. It uses AI technology to build a world in virtual space. It will provide real experiences for gamers and moviegoers. Wang is a newcomer in this field. ____ That's because he thinks this technology has great potential(潜力) and he hopes more people will join him. 

In recent years, lots of new service professions have also appeared. The purpose is to meet people's special needs. Ma Xiaoyi is a declutterer who leads her team to tidy the homes of customers. "Facing a new job, we should try and get to work bravely, instead of waiting and seeing what will happen," Ma said. "You will not know whether it suits you until you try. And you will succeed only with effort." 

The new professions are a blue ocean in the job market. Young people should seize new chances. At the same time, new chances also mean new challenges. These new jobs require a higher level of knowledge and skills. So young people should improve their abilities. 

Qingtian stone carving(雕刻)is one of China's most important traditional art forms. It has  long history that can be traced back to over 1, 700 years ago. It takes its name from Qingtian County in Zhejiang Province where a special and natural stone (produce). This kind of stone is famous  its soft texture(质地) and rich colors, making it perfect for carving different works. 

With great patience and creativity, skilled craftsmen(工匠) turn common stones into amazing artworks (wise), such as beautiful flowers, lively animals and characters from Chinese folk stories. These carvings are not only beautiful but also meaningful. For example, carvings of (wolf) are a symbol of power and teamwork. Many (value) works are kept in museums, telling stories of China's long history and rich culture. 

In recent years, Qingtian stone carving (meet) new challenges and new chances. Modern life and new technology are changing people's interests and many young people are not familiar with this traditional art. (develop) it, the local government has built museums and training centers. Artists are also trying new styles and new subjects,  more people become more interested in Qingtian stone carving.

On a cold midnight in early spring, a village doctor, Hu Yiwen received a call and left home on his motorcycle in a （仓促）. 

Tongmu is a village in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. There are just over 200 people living in the village. Over 100 of them are old people aged 60 and （在上面）. 

Born in 1999, Hu is the only doctor in Tongmu. He grew up in the countryside. When he was a child, there weren't many （医疗）resources（资源）. This made him want to become a village doctor. 

Caring for the health of the old people in the village is this young doctor's （日常）work. At first, Hu faced many challenges. For example, when he went out to see a patient alone for the first time, he was really nervous. But finally, he overcame the difficulties with （勇气）.

China's Space Mice: Tiny Astronauts on a Big Mission (使命)

China has sent four special mice to the Tiangong Space Station, marking its first experiment with small mammals (哺乳动物) in space. 

The journey began with 300 mice. Scientists spent 60 days choosing the best ones. The mice had to pass many tests. For example, they needed to stay on a turning rod for more than 110 seconds to show they were strong. This is important for fighting space sickness. They even had to find their way through mazes to show how well they could remember places. Only 48 mice made it. Finally, two male and two female mice were chosen. 

These black mice have very similar genes (基因) because they come from a special group. This helps scientists get more exact results from the experiments. Their space home was made just for them. It has controlled temperature, enough food and water, and a system to clean waste, just like they would in nature. 

In space, astronauts moved the mice into a special research box. This box was brought to the station earlier by the Tianzhou-9 cargo ship. Scientists on the ground will watch the mice through cameras. They want to learn how living without gravity (引力) and in a small space influences the mice. They will study how the mice move, eat, and sleep. Another interesting experiment will look at how space changes tiny things inside their bodies. 

This mission is very important because it is a"from 0 to 1"breakthrough. It tests if China can safely send mammals to space, care for them, and bring them back. Mice are good for space research because their bodies are similar to humans in many ways. What we learn from them will help keep astronauts safe on long space trips. It will also support China's plans to send people to the moon before 2030 and to Mars one day. 

After their space adventure, scientists will study them carefully. Like human astronauts, these brave little mice are helping humans get ready to explore deeper into space.
