I an email from the team last night. It tells me to change into the team uniform (队服) and put on the football shoes. So, I was ready before the training.
At 16:30, the training started. The teacher asked us to do to warm up. We ran slowly around the school playground. Then we practised passing and shooting. After that, we took a short for about five minutes. We drank water and chatted. Finally, the friendly match started.
After the match, I asked a player, "Why are you so happy today?" He said, "It's because of my friend, Alex. He is not very good at shooting usually. But today he scored a goal! What a(n)! I am so proud of him!"

7、Answer the questions. (根据短文内容回答问题。)
Seventeen-year-old Tom Davidson hasn't left his home since he was 15. The last time he went out was two years ago. He was walking to catch a bus when he was hit on the head by a sign falling from a building. He spent more than two months in hospital and doctors told him he was lucky to be alive. The accident left Tom with agoraphobia: the idea of being outdoors makes him feel extremely anxious.
The problem is that Tom loves travelling. Before his accident, Tom spent most weekends exploring his home city of London by bus, underground train and his scooter, and he looked forward to holidays abroad with his parents. Now the idea of driving in a car to France or taking a plane to Italy terrifies him.
However, there is a way that Tom can still visit the most remote corners of the world without leaving the security of his home: Google Maps. In the last year and a half, Tom has visited every country in the world where Google Maps has been and taken photos. Using "street view", he has walked down the streets of the world's most famous cities, he has seen all the world's most amazing geographical features and he has visited places in the world that he didn't know existed: all of this from the comfort of his home.
Tom's virtual travel is more than just a hobby-it has become an art project. He has taken more than 5,000 screenshots of places he has visited and last week, there was an exhibition of his best photos at a school near his home (but of course, he didn't go). Tom also hopes that his online journeys will help him eventually to overcome his agoraphobia. As he discovers more places that he wants to visit one day, he is becoming more and more determined to leave his home. And his dream, if he can, is to work in the travel industry, for example, as a flight attendant or a tour guide.
(1)、How long has Tom Davidson stayed inside his home?(2)、What does the word "agoraphobia" mean in this passage?(3)、What tool does Tom use to "travel" the world from his home, and what specific feature does he use most?(4)、Tom's virtual travel is "more than just a hobby". What has it become, and what evidence from the text supports this?(5)、What are Tom's two dream jobs if he can overcome his fear?(6)、Do you think Tom's online journeys will help him overcome his agoraphobia? Why or why not? -
8、Fill in the blanks with proper words. (在短文的空格内填入适当的词,使其内容通顺,首字母已给出。)
Every year thousands of young people leave school for a few weeks or months and enjoy an unusual type of educational program. What they learn during this time does not come from b. They learn new skills by living in a different country and doing unusual jobs. There are several organizations that help students to find the e they are looking for.
One interesting possibility is helping elephants in Thailand. Most people think of elephants as animals in zoos or circuses. However, many elephants in Thailand are no longer kept in captivity. Now, hundreds of them are h. These gentle animals are often found on the streets as they do not have o to care for them. Although they may look well, they are often in poor health and don't have enough to eat.
One center in Thailand cares for these elephants. It provides a safe and natural living s for them. When they are at the center, they stay in a building but are f to walk around. Students come from all over the world to help here. The student helpers work with the elephant keepers. These keepers t the students in caring for the elephants. In the morning, they go to the forest together and lead the elephants to the center. They clean them and give them food. In the afternoon, they take the animals back into the forest for the night. Helping at the center is interesting and the young people learn a lot.

9、Read in phrases rather than word by word.
Don't1 each word while you read. Practice reading in phrases—groups of words that go together.
Engage your2.
Good readers visualize what they are reading. They create a movie in their heads of the story they are reading. As you read, try sharing with a partner the kinds of pictures that you create in your mind.
3 subvocalization.
Subvocalization means quietly saying the words as you read. You might be whispering the words or just silently saying them in your mind. Your eyes and brain can read much faster than you can speak. If you subvocalize, you can only read as fast as you can say the words. As you read, place your finger on your lips or your throat. Do you feel4? If so, you are subvocalizing. Practice reading without moving your lips.
Don't worry about understanding every word.
Sometimes, as readers, we think we must understand the meaning of everything that we read. It isn't always5 to understand every word in a passage in order to understand the meaning of the passage as a whole. Instead of interrupting your reading to find the meaning of a new word, circle the word and come back to it after you have finished reading.
Enjoy your reading.
Your enjoyment of reading will develop over time. Perhaps today you do not like to read in English, but as you read more, you should see a change in your6. The more you read in English, the easier it will become. You will find yourself looking forward to reading.

10、Annie 7 May
It's Sunday afternoon. The last hours of the weekend before school starts again. This time is valuable, but I'm sitting here with nothing to do and no money to spend! So I need ideas for things to do. Important: they need to be fun and free. I'm asking for help because time is running out!
Austin 08 (5 minutes ago)
Go for a walk. I always go for a walk on Sunday. I like going on my own. It's the perfect time to think about all the things I don't normally have time to think about and I never think about things I need to do. I like forgetting all about them just for a few hours every week.
