The flag-raising ceremony is considered by many Chinese to be an event they must attend at least once in their lifetime. In fact,especially for the young,watching the ceremony can bring out further love for our motherland. 

Cheng Yiting,a student from a university in Sichuan Province said she and her friends took a trip to Beijing to watch the flag-raising ceremony during the summer vacation. Before traveling to the capital,they read social media posts offering advice on how to get a good place to watch the ceremony,

A Chinese company called DeepSeek has surprised the world with its own artificial intelligence(AI). AI is a computer system(系统)that can learn from experience and do things that usually need humans. 

DeepSeek uses generative(生成式)AI that can give users information such as texts and pictures according to the words a person gives. For example,you could ask it to write a shopping list,create computer codes(编码),make up a story or you could use it to have a chat. 

There are also other popular generative AI tools,most of which are created in the US such as open AI Chat GPT and Google's Gemini. The company behind DeepSeek is from China. It has fewer than 2000 people working for it. DeepSeek says that it cost about 5.57 million dollars to develop its AI. This is not much compared with the cost of OpenAI,the newest ChatGPT model. 

Within five days of appearance of DeepSeek,it became the most downloaded free App in the US and quickly went to number one in App Store. The low cost of developing DeepSeek has made people wonder if American technology companies really need to spend so much on their AI. What's more,DeepSeek is an open AI which means that anyone can use it for free. DeepSeek success could mean the US might no longer be the world leader in AI. It might also mean that other companies will try their best to make their own cheap AI. However,some people are still watching to see what will happen to users'information. 

AI expert says that DeepSeek has taken technology company by storm. He says these show that with AI the surprises will keep on coming in the next few years. 

During the summer holiday,I traveled to Hainan,which is a paradise(天堂)for surfers( 冲 浪者). I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time because learning to surf had always been my dream. 

On the first day,the coach taught me some basic skills. First,push the surfboard into the waves(海浪),then lie down on the surfboard and wait for the waves to come. Finally,when the waves come,let the surfboard "catch"the waves and try to stand on it. After practicing several times on the beach,I followed the coach to the sea. However,I could not follow what the coach told me to stand up at the right time because I was nervous. I fell into the sea and ended up swallowing(吞下)a lot of seawater. The coach patiently pointed out my mistakes. After falling into the sea many times,I finally learned how to stand on the surfboard. When I successfully stood up for the first time with the rushing waves,a great feeling of achievement filled my heart. 

Over the next several days,I continued practicing. My surfing got better and better. I also learned another skill. I used both hands to row the water before standing up. This way,I could pi up enough speed to allow the waves to push the surfboard forward. As a result,the coach did+need to push my surfboard forward. When I was able to surf alone in the sea,I felt so much excitement and joy. 

Now,surfing makes me feel relaxed. Learning to surf made me have a feeling of satisfaction.

As a foreigner who has lived in China for several years,I have always liked watching Chinese cooking videos. My favorite vlogger(视频博主)is Rose. Known as"African Li Ziqi", she has got millions of followers on a video-sharing platform.

For Mexicans, their family is the most important social organization. In traditional Mexican culture, the whole family unit usually stays closely connected. Nowadays, more and more young couples move out to start their own families in separate houses, but they still live close to their extended families (大家庭).

Traditional Mexican families are man-centered. The father is the bread-winning member of the home. The mother looks after the children, cooks and do other chores. She is the heart of the family.

But the men have complete authority (权威). The modern lifestyle has made some changes. More and more women step out of home and find a job. However, this has added pressure on the women, as the men still haven't started helping out with the housework.

Mexicans believe unity (团 结 ) is strength, so Mexican families prefer to give support and practical guidance to each other. Mexican family culture is known for the loyalty (忠诚) and respect among one another. If a family member is facing a money problem, Mexicans are always ready to help. They'll provide money or help him/her find work.

Mexican family life and traditions are closely connected with each other. Mexicans live by the rule: Family comes first.

Once upon a time, there was an old man named Sai Weng. One day, he lost his horse. His neighbors came (comfort) him, thinking that this was a big loss. , Sai Weng said, "Who knows if this is not a blessing in disguise (因祸得福)?"
