Students may want to feed street cats in the school, but they may not know where the cats are. Now, at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), students can use their phones to find school cats and get to know them. 

To give school cats a better life, students of the university(大学) made a WeChat mini— program(小程序)—— Beiwai Cats. On it, every cat in the university has an"ID card". The cards show. the cats'photos and also have stories about them. Cat lovers can also adopt(收养) school cats on the mini— program. 

Zhou Hengxiao, 20, helped make the mini— program. He is a member of the BFSU Love CatsGroup. He says it is useful for both the students and the cats. Through(通过) the mini— program, students can learn more about the cats. 

The group is also active on Weibo, Bilibili and Xiaohongshu. "We share the culture of our university through the cats. When we make money from these platforms(平台), we will use it to feed the cats and help with their illnesses(疾病), " he says. 

The group hopes to add more cats near the university to Beiwai Cats. " Some people think it's a little dangerous for students to feed the cats, but we just want to do our best to give every small life a home, " says Zhou. " Students can learn how to take care of others, too. "

A Valuable Lesson

Everyone in Class 5 knew that Mike was a kind boy, but he wasn't very interested in his studies, especially English. He found grammar boring and often spent his time drawing in his notebook during lessons. His mid— term exam result was not good. 

One afternoon, Mike saw his English teacher, Mr. Davis, staying after school. Mr. Davis was studying a thick Chinese language book. Mike was surprised. "Mr. Davis, you're a teacher. Why are you still studying so hard?"he asked. 

Mr. Davis smiled. "Learning never stops, Mike. I'm learning Chinese because I want to understand my students' culture better. It's difficult for me, just like English might be for you. But I practice a little every day. "

Mike was touched. He realized that Mr. Davis, an adult, was still working hard to learn something new. He decided to change his attitude. 

For the next month, Mike stopped drawing in class. He listened carefully, took notes, and asked questions when. he didn't understand. He even started a vocabulary notebook. It wasn't easy, and he sometimes felt tired, but he didn't give up. 

When the next test came, Mike felt nervous. But when he got his paper back, he saw a big improvement! He didn't get the highest score in the class, but he improved by 20 points. More importantly, he felt proud of himself. He had learned that hard work really pays off. 

How Do You Deal with Stress?

As eighth—grade students, we face stress from schoolwork, exams, and sometimes friendship. Learning how to deal with stress is important for both our studies and our happiness. Here are some methods (方法) that students in our class use. 

Li Hua loves sports. When he feels stressed, he goes to the basketball court. "After sweating (流汗) for an hour, all my worries seem to disappear. It's like my brain gets a restart, " he says. For him, physical activity is the best medicine. 

Wang Fang has a different way. She believes in sharing. "I always talk to my best friend or my mom. Just speaking about my problems out loud makes me feel much lighter. Sometimes, they give me good advice, but even if they just listen, it helps a lot, " she explains. 

Zhang Wei prefers quiet activities. He finds peace in—reading books and listening to calm music. "These activities take my mind off the stress. They transport me to another world where I can relax completely (完全地), " he says. He also keeps a diary to write down his thoughts and feelings, which he finds very helpful. 

Everyone feels stress sometimes, but the key is to find a healthy way that works for you. 

I visited Huangshan to enjoy the most beautiful Hongcun Village during my two—week trip to China. I took the best trip and enjoyed every minute there. 

Hongcun Village is about 900 years old and it is in Yi County. It is mainly famous for its old houses and courtyards(庭院) from the Ming and Qing Dynasties(朝代). It is fun to walk around and enjoy the small village, shop for the local products, and eat at the village restaurants. 

Taking pictures of old houses is very interesting. I love the beautiful environment of HongcunVillage. The whole village looks like a beautiful picture. It is really a must—visit for history and nature lovers. 

In China, spring and autumn are the best time to visit beautiful places and enjoy nature views. March and April are the best time to visit Hongcun Village. I visited it in April. You may also visit it in November in the autumn season. The easiest way is to take a bus from the downtown of Huangshan. It will take one and a half hours to reach Yi County from Tunxi Bus Station. You can also go by car or taxi.
