Tina is my best friend. We are the same in some ways.

 Many parents want their children to be famous one day. But do children have the same dreams? A new play, called Hi, Ke' ai,  us the story of a boy with the name of Ke' ai. His parents wish him to become a painter or ( music) or scientist one day. They teach him to paint and to play the piano,  Ke' ai doesn't enjoy these ( activity). Then one day Ke' ai's parents saw his classmate win  gold medal at the Sports Games, and they wanted him to be a sportsman.

" But why do they want me to be somebody else? I'm not ( talent) in music, and I can't run ( quick) either?" Ke' ai asked and ( say): "I just want to be  (I)." The play shows us that parents should understand their children, and learn so think about  kids want to do. Young students like the story and also the music in the play. It is a very popular play for them.

 Hangzhou Bay Wetland Park is one of the  we tland parks. It lies in the south bank of Hangzhou Bay. If you love quiet places, you can go there to have an  holiday.

 Last Nauonal Day, my family  to drive there. It took us about forty  to get there. The lakes and trees gave us a big surprise. The air was so clean that we all felt comfortable. It is  a great place for holiday.

 Hi! I'm the Beijing- Zhangjiakou railway. I've felt happy recently because a new high- speed railway now links(连接) the two cities. Do you want to know my story?I was born in 1909. I'm 115years old now. The one who made me was Zhan Tianyou. He was a brave and smart man. He believed China should build its own railways without other countries' help. So he built me,

 At first, my trains used steam(蒸汽).  Their top speed was only 35 km/h. Then, the trains started to use diesel(柴油). Later, there were even better trains which used electricity(电). But it still took more than three hours to travel from Beijing to Zhangjiakou, Hebei.

 In 2020, the new high- speed railway opened on Dec 30. I was so excited.. The high- speed trains had a top speed of 350 km/h! It only took 47 minutes to travel from Beijing to Zhangjiakou.

 During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Beijing and Zhangjiakou, the two host cities of the event, welcomed lots of people from around the world.

I'm too old to keep working these days, but people will keep me as part of history,  . But I'm still proud(骄傲的) of all the changes China has made. Zhan Tianyou must be proud too.

There are so many languages that you can't hope to learn them all, but there's one language which you can use to communicate with everyone: your smile.

 Smiling can show people that you' re friendly. And we have more than fifty different kinds of smiles for different situations. When something is funny, we usually smile with an open mouth. If we are happy, our eyes become smaller when we smile, but if the skin around our eyes doesn't move, our smile is not real. If we are proud of something, we keep our lips together.'

 But what if you are in a bad mood? It's hard to be happy all the time. Some people try to cheer themselves up by watching funny films. Others like dancing to their favorite songs or eatıng sweet food. Others do sports every day to put themselves in a good mood. But there's another very easy way to feel happier: smile. When you smile, your body starts producing the things which are called endorphins(内啡肽 ). These endorphins send a message to your brain that you, are happy. And there's something more important. When you smile at someone, they often smile back at you. This action produces endorphins in their, bodies and they feel happier too. A part of their brain remembers you as a person who makes them happy. You' re halfway to having a new friend. And that's something you can truly smile about.

Perry is one of the Australia's most famous women cricketers(板球运动员). She shares her ideas about having dreams and how to make them come true.

 In Perry's view, a dream has to be realistic(现实的). It has to be something you can actually do. " When I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a musician and giving concerts(音乐会) to people from all over the world. But that's not realistic because I'm not good at it, Perry said.

 It's true that all the little dreams we have can lead to a big one. In the beginning. Perry just wanted to be a cricketer. Then, she kept working hard and tried to dream bigger. Now she has the chance to fight for her country in cricket. " That's hard to imagine when I started out, said Perry.

 As we all know, not everything can happen perfectly. All we have to do is never to give up. As a sports person, Perry may lose a game sometimes. Instead of thinking about something bad, she always tells herself." Be persistent(坚持的). Things will get better soon if you never give up.

 Finally, Perry tells us that confidence(自信心) is what gets you through the hardest times. " While facing problems, don't lose heart. Always have confidence in yourself and believe in yourself. When you believe you can, you really can," she said.

You may know the English letters A. B and C. But do you know there are people called ABCs? Do you know there is such a thing as"a banana person"? How strange!ABC means American- born Chinese. An ABC is a Chinese, but was born in the United States. Sometimes, people call an ABC a" banana person". A banana is yellow outside. So, when a person is a" banana", he or she is white inside— thinking like a Westerner and yellow outside— looking like a Chinese.

 Usually, ABCs know little about China or the Chinese language. Some of them don't speak Chinese. But if ABCs cannot speak Chinese, can we still call them Chinese people? Yes, of course. They are overseas(海外的) Chinese. These people may be citizens(公民) of another country like the US, Canada or Singapore. But they have Chinese blood. Their parents, grandparents or even great- grandparents were from China. They all have black eyes and black hair.

 But they are not Chinese citizens. They are not people of the People's Republic of China. For example, we all know the famous scientist C. N. Yang(杨振宁). He got the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1957. Chinese people love him. But he is an American citizen.
