A special cultural tourism event called "In Ningbo, In Joy took place at Dongqian Lake, a famous scenic resort on April 7, 2025. The activity was organized to share the culture of Ningbo with the world. Nearly 1oo tourists from around the world joined the activity organized by the Dongqian Lake MICE Tourism Alliance. Visitors came from countries like Fiji, Australia, Japan, and the U.S.as well as China's Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

The event offered fun ways to explore the lake. Visitors could enjoy a "semi-guided tour", which means they could choose their own activities. For example, some people rode bikes or took boats to see the lake's beautiful scenery, while others enjoyed hot spring activities and learned about Ningbo's old culture.

A popular part was the "Elegance(风采) of the Song Dynasty' area. Here, artists showed traditional Chinese crafts like tea art and fan painting. There was also a special dinner based on the "24 Solar Terms (24 节气)", a Chinese farming calendar. These activities helped guests know Ningbo's famous travel routes, like trips along the sea Silk Road and Siming Mountain.

Chen Yuru, a leader from Fiji, said, "Ningbo's beauty and culture are fascinating. Each visit teaches me something new." Xu Lingna, a tourism expert, added," We hope this event helps more international friends love Ningbo and learn about its culture."

To attract more foreign tourists, Ningbo has started a 3-year plan to double its visitors. Using special visa rules for short stays, Dongqian Lake Resort is working with international communities in ShangHai to create easy travel packages. These "mini-vacation" Plans aim to make trips smooth and enjoyable for travelers all over the world.

Scene 1

A grassy area outside in a school playground. (Alicia, Lisa and Malcolm came.)

Alicia: Let's sit down. I'm tired.

(Alicia sits down and the others do the same.)

Lisa: Why are you so tired? It's only Tuesday.

Alicia: I had an amazing dream last night. Then I woke up and I couldn't sleep because I was so excited.

Malcolm: Excited? Why?

(Lisa and Malcolm sit up to look at Alicia.)

Alicia: My dream was about the future. It was so real! I know it's a prediction.

Lisa: I don't believe that dreams can predict the future.

Malcolm: I agree but, sometimes, dreams can make us think about things. So does your future look good, Alicia?

Alicia: It looks amazing! First, I'll win an important singing competition. Then a film director from Hollywood will ask me to act in his new film. The film will be a success and everybody will know my name. I'll be in magazines, on television, sign autographs ...

(The school bell rings and the children look towards the school.)

Lisa: That was the shortest break ever! Come on.

(Lisa stands up and the others follow. They start to walk slowly towards the school.)

Malcolm: (laughing) I want to hear more about Alicia's famous future!

Alicia：Don't laugh! One day, you'll ask me for my autograph (签名)!

Malcolm: (interrupting) You mean like the autographs in your dream? It's just a dream, Alicia.

(Alicia looks annoyed and walks off ahead of the others. Lisa and Malcolm look at each other and follow.)

Today, I would like to talk about the life in the future.

In China, AI is getting more popular in middle and high schools. It offers modern ways to teach and helps students be more imaginative. Huiwen Middle School in Tianjin is a top school in this area. 

In 2017, Huiwen Middle School started a club called Huiwen Singularity. It made students learn more aboutAI. Teachers and students in the club worked together to study AI and make robots. In their free time, they took part in some competitions(比赛) with their own robots. Though they faced all kinds of challenges, they didn't give up, and they won many prizes. 

After years of hard work, the club becomes popular because of its robot shows. Because of better equipment(设备) and a deeper understanding of AI, the technology of AI has become a favourite and useful tool in school. For example, an AI helper helps students review(复习) the main points in the past lessons before class. Sports teachers use robots to give students real-time feedback(反馈) when they are running. 

Huiwen Middle School's progress with AI is an example for other schools. In the future, the school will keep on improving teachers' skills in using AI.

Do you know what cars will be like in the future? Well, they' re going to be really amazing!

Future cars are full of surprises. They will depend  clean energy, so the air will be fresher and people will be healthier. These will lead to better (medicine) health for everyone. Car factories are already working with (expert) to develop these eco-friendly technologies. 

These cars will be not only cleaner but also smarter. They will be able (drive) by themselves. These smart cars will make (passenger) relax or even learn during rides. Imagine having a(n) (education) video conference(会议) while your car is driving you to work! However, people should still pay attention to safety. 

The most exciting thing is that flying cars might come true! Some people disagree with this idea, but with the new technology, nothing is (possible). It's so wonderful for us (enjoy) beautiful views in our flying cars. Maybe one day we can even take (this) flying cars to space. 

As we make new inventions, cars will become safer, cleaner  more useful. They will change our lives in many good ways we can't think of now. 

Being a young scientist sounds really cool, right? It seems that it is an ambitious(有雄心的) goal. Maybe you don't have any ideas to make it come true yet. But don't give up so quickly! 

First of all, come up with a great idea. Look at the world around you and ask yourself: What could work better?  Also, you can ask your friends or family about daily problems. The problems don't need to be new. You just need to think out of the box. 

Next, it's time to express your idea. You can express your idea by drawing. Remember to draw it with a pencil so you can erase mistakes. Then, you can explain(解释) your idea to your friends.  They can help you improve your work. 

Then, find a good time to make your invention.  For example, you should collect all the materials(材料) and tools. It's important to collect some information about these tools. More importantly, you need to let your parents work with you. It will protect you from some risks. 

 However, this is not the end. To make your invention perfect, you may need to test it thousands of times and improve it again and again. Come on, young inventor!
 

Standing in front of a huge screen, 10-year-old Chen Tengxu was excitedly waiting to see mythical beasts(神兽) in traditional Chinese stories jump out. When nine beasts ran to Chen and his classmates one by one, they shouted happily and played with them through the screen. 

"I had lots of fun in the game and learnt a lot about traditional Chinese culture. I'm more interested in it now, " said Chen. He experienced this interesting game when he travelled to Beijing. The game used many kinds of digital technologies(数字科技), including naked-eye 3D display(裸眼 3D 显示) and AI. With the help of digital technologies, traditional culture has become more popular among young people. 

Digital technologies can also make travelling more comfortable. At another fair(交易会) in Shanghai, a robot coffee kiosk(售货亭) attracted people's attention. Customers can buy fresh coffee and other drinks there. It can be open 24 hours a day, so in the future, visitors can buy some drinks at any time while travelling. 

As digital technologies are getting better, people will enjoy easier and more interesting travel. 

According to the World Health Organization, there are over 1. 5 bil-lion people living with hearing loss(听力损失) in the world. In China, more than 15% of people have varying de-grees(不同程度) of hearing impairment(障碍). So it is important for us to take action and help these people. 

In the past three years, Zheng Qingyun and his team have created VirtX. This is a new kind of suit(套装)that helps the users with hearing problems experience sound through touch. 

For example, when you' re walking on the street, you can know where a car is by hearing its sound. But people with hearing problems can't hear the sound clearly. VirtX can help them experience the sound in another way. They can pick up the sound waves by wearing the clothes. 

Zheng chose clothes as a carrier(载体) because clothes are an important part of everyone's daily life. More importantly, VirtX can improve people's life easily. "We hope to open a new window for them to feel the world, "Zheng said. 

Although Zheng and his team have received(收到) some awards, there are still challenges during the course(过程) of research. But for them, challenges also mean chances.

Hello! I'm Eddie, a scientist studying the future technology. Today, I'm 1 to introduce our new Super Helper Robot! It can bring many 2 changes to society by doing difficult jobs for humans. Here are some of them. 

One of its amazing features(特点) is that it can act as a 3 . By using advanced technologies, it can quickly find out what diseases(疾病) people have or how to make them feel better. This could be especially helpful during 4 and emergencies because everything will be dangerous during these times.
