It's a small villag e . Many villa g e rs there were very poor（贫穷的）.

One day, our math teacher d ivid ed all the students into eight groups in her class. Ea ch group had six members. She asked us to so lve a d ifficu lt math problem in groups.

The other five members in my group discussed with each other and shared their ideas openly. I just not there q uie tly. Ling ling was the head of our group. She said to me in a low vo ice , "Why didn't you do anything?"

"Be cause my math is very poor（差的）and I can't understand most of what you discussed," I said .

"Don't worry. We can help you."

Then other members cheered me up and encourag ed____ me to jo in them. Ling ling drew a mind map（思维导图）to help me understand what they discussed. Huang Rong showed me the steps（步骤）to think about the problem. With their help, I could fo llo w them a little . At last, I co uld even speak out my own idea about the problem. I was so excited.

Last weekend, my parents had to work so they left me at home (独自).
