This weekend, our class is  for a charity sale.

Before breakfast, I  like making my bed.

I  at 7 o'clock every morning and quickly get dressed.

In some parts of the world, children don't have enough food to eat or enough money to buy clothes or shoes. Every year at Sunshine Middle School, we do something to raise money for these children. This year we will have Market Day.

Market Day will fall on July 

8. We are going to make the student centre at our school look just like a big shopping centre! People can come at any time from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and buy everything from clothes to books, cakes and flowers.

Luckily for us, many volunteers will help prepare for the big event. Last year, Ms Grant and Ms Ali made some wonderful cakes for our charity event. They will do it again this year. Bill Thomas will visit Bookworm Bookshop and Mel's Music Shop and ask them to give us things that we can sell at the event. Philip White will e-mail all the teachers and ask them to come to our event. Alice Brown will put a message online telling the public the event is open to everyone.

However, there is more to do, and we need your help. We want you to give us things that we can sell—anything that we can sell to raise money for poor children. We also need some student volunteers to sell the things on Market Day.

With your help, we will certainly have a successful event!

Yesterday my dad and I went hiking in the mountain. We enjoyed the fresh air and planned to stay in the hotel room for another two days. However, I think it's one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life! A storm woke me up early. I got up and looked out of the window of our hotel. I listened to the thunder and watched the lightning. It wasn't scary at that time, but it was exciting!

But then I looked at my phone and saw on the news that a hurricane was coming. I asked my dad what a hurricane was and asked him if he knew what to do. He told me not to worry because a hurricane is just a big storm. We stayed in our hotel room and by the afternoon, there was even more rain. And the winds were getting stronger and stronger.

In the evening, a hotel worker asked all the visitors to go to the dining hall. When we were all inside, we put tables in front of the doors and then we got down on the floor together in the corner. We waited and waited. The winds got louder, the rain became heavier and then it suddenly went dark. I was so startled that I held（抓住）my dad's hand. We stayed there for a long time.

Finally, morning arrived. The storm was over. I felt so happy that we were safe. I hope I will never have a night like that again.

Li Hua's study group carried out an experiment（实验）to model the greenhouse effect. Here is their report.

It was not common for the human body to sit for a long time in the old days. But now sitting for a long time every day is common. Sitting for a long time is dangerous for your health. You can hurt your arms and your neck.  

People who work in offices often have health problems. People who travel many hours on planes often say they feel bad at the end of a long trip. The advice below can help you if you don't want any problems. 

Sit properly. Keep your back straight and your feet on the floor. It is very necessary to have a comfortable chair. 

Take breaks often. Don't sit for more than thirty minutes.  Having a break can help you do more work in the day. 

 Water cleans your body and keeps you healthy. It's good for you and gives you energy. But please don't drink lots of coffee or tea. 

Move your body. Stretching（拉伸）is a simple and quick way of moving your body while you are sitting. Stretch your arms, your hands and your shoulders（肩膀）.     

Stamp collecting is now a big hobby for young people to remember their travels. Lovers of this hobby collect the 1 , usually with pictures and names of the places, on postcards or in travel notebooks.

Kuang Zhaoxin, a 25-year-old dancer, enjoys collecting stamps. For her, this is a great way to 2 her trips and give her "a sense of ceremony（仪式感）". 3 during a two-day trip to Beijing, she collected over 80 stamps! She happened to collect some beautiful cultural relic stamps（文物邮票）from 4 .

Jerry was one of them. Last month, he started his first trip to China. He heard a lot about China, but he never came to this country. Before this trip, he 2 quite worried, because he thought China might be less open. But when he arrived in Chongqing, all his worries went away.

I do many things in my free time.

Rock climbing is a sport, but many people enjoy it. Climbers work out a lot to get fit, so they can take up this risky（有风险的）sport safely.

Joanne is an 18-year-old girl and a rock climbing lover. She took up when she was only six and joined a climbing club. Her first climb was indoors on a special climbing wall. But when she was ten, she did her first climb outdoors.

She says, "I wasn't scared, but I felt a little nervous that day. My dad came with me and he gave me a lot of good. We three hours finishing the climb. I was very happy when I managed to to the top. It was the most   moment of my life!"

Now, she takes part in climbing every Saturday. She has special climbing equipment（装备）. She has a strong rope and  climbing shoes.

Joanne is also a climbing. She works at a climbing club and this is her  year there. She says, "I love teaching kids to climb and  enjoy at the same time."

These days, many kids like collecting special things called "goods". Fans often call them "guzi （谷子）". Among these goods, the most popular is the badge（徽章）, known as "baji".

These badges are usually small and round, and there are pictures of characters from famous cartoons on them. However, not every company（公司）can sell badges. Only some cartoon companies have the right to sell those badges, and their prices differ a lot. Usually, common badges might cost 15 to 30 yuan.

Why do teenagers love badges so much? First, wearing a badge shows their love for a cartoon. It makes them feel close to the characters they like. Second, badges help them make friends. At anime conventions, badge lovers talk to each other, trade badges, and meet people with the same hobbies. They know they're part of a big group.

But sometimes this hobby can cause problems. Some fans spend too much money—they even use their breakfast money to buy expensive badges. Others get upset if they can't get the badges they want, or if someone else has a better collection. 

Collecting "baji" and other "guzi" can be a fun hobby. But it's also important to remember not to spend too much money or get too stressed about it. After all, the real magic of cartoons is in the stories and the feelings they give us, not just in the badges we collect.

Yang Kexin comes from Guizhou Province. She really loves meteorites（陨石）. 

Yang became interested in meteorites when she was young. Once, she saw a photo of a meteorite. Her friend found the meteorite in Xinjiang. Yang got inspired（受到了启发）and in 2012 she left her job in Beijing and started to work in Hami, Xinjiang. There she spent most of her free time looking for meteorites. However, it was not easy. Luckily, Yang found a small meteorite on one trip. She jumped up and down and shouted, "I found a meteorite! " And the finding made her decide to look for more meteorites. 

Yang spent five years in Hami and found more than 600 meteorites. These meteorites were valuable. Someone wanted to buy them at a high price, but Yang said no. She never thought of making money with them. 

In 2017, Yang went back to Guizhou Province and started a museum showing her meteorites. "I spent more than 300, 000 yuan opening this museum. Because I didn't have enough money, I borrowed some," she said. So it came as a surprise when she decided to open the museum to the public for free. She thinks it's a good way to help more people learn about meteorites.

Yang enjoys her life because she is doing something she's really interested in.
