The Summit of the Three Gorges（三峡之巅）

The Yangtze River flows through the Three Gorges. The highest spot（地点）is called the Summit. It's in Fengjie County（县）, Chongqing. 

The Summit is 1, 388 meters high. You can see the Yangtze River below. The water looks like a blue dragon. Tall cliffs（悬崖）rise from the river. They are over 1, 000 meters high. In autumn, the mountains turn red and gold. 

You can hike to the Summit. The path is 10 kilometers long. It takes about three hours. There are stone steps with safety bars（安全杆）. You can rest every 30 minutes. There are places to take photos. The hike is tiring but worth it. 

Mornings are special at the Summit. There is often thick fog（雾）on the river in the morning. The fog is all over the river, like a big sea. You can see White Emperor City. It's an old place across the river. Poets wrote about this view long ago. 

The Summit is beautiful and exciting. You can take photos, enjoy nature, or go hiking. Everyone will love this place. 

Summer is a great time for families to go on a trip. Children do not go to school in July and August, so they are1 to travel.

Bananas and dark chocolate have special chemicals（化学物质）. These help our brains make happy hormones. These hormones make us feel good and reduce stress. Eating a piece of dark chocolate when you're sad can make you feel better!

When you feel tired, whole grains like oatmeal（燕麦片）and brown rice can give you enough energy. They give you energy slowly, so you stay active for hours. But sweet snacks only give energy for a short time, and then you feel tired again. 

Feeling worried? Try eating fish like salmon or some nuts. These foods can help you relax. Warm milk or chamomile tea（菊花茶）before bed also helps many people sleep better. Ice cream and candy may make you feel good at first, but eating too much sugar can make you feel worse later. 

Try eating more fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins（蛋白质）. Notice how different foods make you feel. Keeping a food-mood diary for a week can help you discover which foods work best for you!

English is popular in the world. . I want to talk something about how I learn English with you. 

First of all, I listen to the teacher well in class.  . I do my homework right away when I get home. I read, write and remember at least five words every day. 

Second, I listen to American radio programs（节目）, and I watch the English news, movies and other American programs with my family every day.  .

The series begins a video of her wearing traditional Mongolian clothing. One moment, Mahoney is in her usual clothes. , she soon shows up in a beautiful Mongolian robe (长袍). As she walks down the street, many people stop (take) photos with her, and some ask her questions to learn more about what she's wearing.

Some trains that use regular diesel (普通柴油) produce thick clouds of black smoke as they travel. They smell bad and are harmful to the (环境). But luckily, they will soon be a thing of the past.

In recent years, scientists have been experimenting with biodiesel (生物柴油). Biodiesel can be (制作) from vegetable oils and animal fats. It can also come from cooking oil waste and leftover food. Biodiesel can power diesel engines (发动机). It is better than regular diesel.

Amaterasu Railway is an open-air sightseeing train in Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan. It has been powered by biodiesel since 2021. The train (它自己) is lovely. It is pink and white. While the train is moving, its conductors use bubble machines to create bubbles with (不同的) colors as it goes.

The train can carry up to 60 people. Its ride is about 30   (分钟) time. This special train runs on a wonderful line. It travels (穿过) mountains, which offers amazing views along the way.

The train's biodiesel (花费) about the same money as regular diesel. Cooking oil provides about (九十) percent of the train's fuel. The other ten percent comes from pork bone noodle soup, and this makes the smoke from the train smell yummy. Unlike regular diesel, biodiesel(容易地) goes bad in a few months. So, it has to be used right away without (存放) it too long.

The biodiesel train reuses food waste and cuts down on harmful smoke. How useful it is!

Tea house is very popular in China. It is mostly called Chalou in provinces like Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan, and is called Chating in Beijing and Tianjin of north China. these names are not the same, the forms and what they offer are basically similar.

To Chinese people, tea houses are just like cafes in Western countries. They are social places where people drink tea, chat and share . Some tea houses build stages for storytelling and Beijing opera shows. They become fun places for people to relax and enjoy themselves.

The play Tea House, by Lao She, shows the troubled late Qing society by describing the words and actions of people in a tea house.

The rise of tea house is related (相关的) with Chinese tea culture. After several thousand years of development, tea houses have become a part of life for people China. Now, foreigners who come to China will be attracted to those famous tea houses to experience Chinese tea culture.

Changing schools is probably the worst thing in the world. Since everyone has already known each other, the newcomer 1 feels like an outsider. Sadly, that "newcomer" was me.

I stood nervously in front of my new class with my face 2 . Everyone welcomed me warmly, but I was too shy to say much. I mumbled (咕哝) my name and quickly took my seat in the corner, keeping my head down and not having the 3 to meet anyone's eyes.

HOW TO PLAN A PARTY

The first question to ask is, ‘Why am I having a party?' (It's someone's birthday; it's the end of term; your team won a big championship (冠军地位); just to have fun with friends.)

A really good party has a theme.  Beach party? 1970s disco? Something else? Then you have to find somewhere to have your party. Wherever you decide to have it, it's always a good idea to ask for a YES from your parents first.

 Are you going to invite everyone you know, or just some of your friends? It's important to think hard about how many people you can afford to invite. Once your list is ready, you can send out the invitations.  Any sooner, and people might forget about it; any later, and some of the people on your list might already have other plans.

OK, so now you've got two weeks to get everything ready. Don't worry—it's plenty of time: just don't leave everything until the last moment. If you want to hire a DJ, start looking now. Remember that they might ask you to pay first.  Then you need to organise the food and decorate the room, although these things can be left until the day before.

Last but not least, keep cool, get some sleep, and in the afternoon before the party, just check it's all ready. Then—have fun!
