Ever since I was a little child, I have always liked learning words and expressions in other languages. When I was nine, I started studying English at school, and I loved it. I learned a lot about English words and grammar, and when I turned sixteen, I attended a program in Canada. I stayed with a Canadian family for a whole year, and it was one of the best times of my life. Since it is also an official (官方的) language in Canada, I started studying French during my stay. I studied hard, and it paid off. French is a beautiful language.

After I returned to Brazil, I started studying Spanish. I think it is important for Brazilians to learn this language because, here in South America, most countries' official language is Spanish. I now love learning this language, and thanks to that, I now have friends from Uruguay, Peru, and Argentina. Keeping in touch with these friends is a great way to practice the language.

I am also learning Chinese and German. These languages are a bit more difficult for me, but being able to say even a few expressions of these languages is rewarding.

Some people ask me why I spend so much time learning foreign languages. I always say there are many benefits. For example, learning a foreign language improves your memory, introduces you to all kinds of information, helps you communicate with people from different places and cultures and to make wonderful friends, provides you with insight into another way of thinking, makes you a more interesting person, and improves your chances of finding a good job.

So, if you haven't started studying a foreign language yet, my advice is: don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today!

In recent years, more and more people, especially teenagers, are facing weight problems. To solve this problem, a "Three-Year Action Plan for Weight Management" has been carried out in 2025. This is called "Sports and Health Year" activity. The activity is to encourage everyone to do more sports and care about their health.

The plan mainly focuses on two key aspects: a balanced diet and regular exercise. A balanced diet is the key to keeping in good health. It means eating different kinds of foods, including plenty of fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins. We should reduce the intake (摄入) of high-fat, high-sugar, and high-salt foods.

Regular exercise is also important. The plan suggests that teenagers should do at least 60 minutes of exercise every day. Activities such as running, cycling, and playing basketball are great choices. Running can help us improve our heart-lung function (心肺功能). Swimming is good for our muscle (肌肉) development. Playing basketball is a great way to build teamwork.

Doing sports is especially important for students. Because sports can also help students study better. When we exercise, our brains get more oxygen and this can help us think more clearly in classes. In schools, there are more P. E. classes now, up to 5 lessons a week. What's more, schools hold more sports activities than before like sports meetings and sports clubs. Students can choose the sports they like to take part in.

Let's take actions and make sports a part of our daily life!

There are many different animals in the world. Which one do you think is "the king of the animals", the elephant, the lion  the tiger? The tiger for sure! If you take a look at the tiger, you will find  Chinese character "WANG" on the tiger's forehead(额头). It  (mean) "the king" in Chinese.

Most tigers come  China and India. They look  (real) scary. They like eating meat. Tigers can run very fast and they are also good  (swim). Tigers need lots of sleep. They sleep for about 15 hours every day.

Some people think they are  (danger) and are afraid to get close to them. But they don't know most tigers are  great danger. Today the number of the tigers is dropping greatly. The reason is that people kill tigers for money and they also cut down too many trees, making many tigers lose  (they) lives and homes!

There are many people around the world trying to help save tigers. It is very important for everyone  (save) tigers. Let's take actions(行动)now!

How to Eat Well Every Day

Eating well is important for middle school students. It helps us keep healthy and full of energy for our study and sports. But do you know how to eat well? . 

First, we need to have balanced meals every day. We should eat different kinds of food, such as rice, noodles, vegetables, fruit, eggs, milk and so on. . Each kind of food gives us different nutrients (营养) we need. 

Second, it's necessary to eat regularly. . Don't skip (跳过) breakfast, because it gives us energy for the whole morning. For lunch, we can eat a little meat and more vegetables. For dinner, we should eat less, not too much or too late. 

Third, we should choose healthy food. Try not to eat too much fast food like hamburgers and fried chips. They are high in fat and sugar and bad for our health. . Also, drink enough water every day instead of sugary soft drinks. 

. Eat slowly and chew (咀嚼) carefully, so our stomach can digest(消化) food easily. Don't eat snacks too often. Don't eat while watching TV or playing games. It's bad for our eating habits. 

It's easy to eat well with these tips. If we follow these tips, we will eat well and stay healthy. Remember: you are what you eat. Let's start eating well from today!

Robot dogs are special helpers. They can help people pick up litter (垃圾). On Mount Tai, one of China's famous mountains, there is a group of such robot dogs. They work as "new workers", and their main job is to carry litter down the mountain.

These robot dogs walk up and down the steps of Mount Tai in Shandong every day. They carry big litter bags with them, and sometimes they make tourists laugh because they look cute and work hard. In a video, one robot dog even says, "Please don't litter! I work so hard and don't want to be too tired."

Keeping Mount Tai clean is not an easy task. The mountain attracts (吸引) many tourists every day, and some of them leave too much litter. Besides, the paths on Mount Tai are very steep (陡峭的). This makes cleaning up the litter more difficult than in other places.

In the past, the tourist area of Mount Tai had special workers called "Tiaoshangong" to carry litter down the mountain. But now fewer people are willing to do this hard job, so the tourist area needs new ways to clean the mountain. Since May 2023, Huangshan has used drones (无人机) to send daily things and remove litter.

This year, the workers of Mount Tai also begin to use technology (科技) to pick up litter. They think robot dogs are the best choice for this job. With the help of these special "little helpers", Mount Tai is becoming even more beautiful and friendly to all visitors.

Jogging is good for us. It helps us live longer and more healthily. It's easy to do and it's free. You do not have to spend money jogging. You can do it in a park or even in your home. But many people find it boring after jogging for a while (一会儿). Then how can we keep jogging fun? Here are some ideas to make your jogging more interesting.

Wear your favorite sports clothes and good shoes when you jog. They make you feel more comfortable.

Always jog outdoors. You can go to different streets or parks, and you willalways have something interesting to enjoy while you are jogging.

Listen to your favorite music when you jog. The music can make you excited and run farther without feeling bored.

Make friends while jogging. It's always more enjoyable to jog with a friend. Join a running club, or invite (邀请) an old friend to go jogging.
