In many cases, you may find yourself or somebody faking (假笑) a smile in photos. Why can one easily discover a fake smile and why does it seem so difficult to give a real smile in photos? 

Scientists have found that a real smile is featured by two main muscle (肌肉) movements. When we smile, we lift our mouth upwards and cause the skin around our eyes to gather into folds. These muscle movements are usually absent in the case of a forced smile, especially when the smile is small. Our brains are highly skilled at telling the differences in muscle movements. That's why though trying to fake a real smile can be hard, discovering it on someone else is a piece of cake. 

One of the most common reasons why you look unnatural in photos is an increased awareness of your appearance. The worry about posture, hair, and makeup can add to the stress, killing the chances of a real smile. A smile looks best when it comes naturally. Warm and welcoming smiles come along with warm and welcoming body language, but when you're in front of the camera, trying too hard to perform can make your body language appear stiff (僵硬的) and far from welcoming. 

Besides, facial expressions are not always understood in the same way. A smile can mean different things in different cultures. For example, a wide smile that seems welcoming to some may appear fake and dishonest. This may also influence how people feel about your smile in photos. 

However, we shouldn't let this trouble us too much. So, if you want to smile naturally before the camera, perhaps the simplest trick is to give your brain a real reason to feel happy. 

Maybe recall a joyful moment or just think back to a funny story you read… that should work!

Technology is changing the world fast, and it is also changing people's jobs. In the past, many people worked as typists (打字员). They typed letters and reports for offices every day. There were also video store workers. They helped people find movies to rent. And there were telephone operators (话务员). They helped connect calls by hand. But now, these jobs are almost gone. People use computers to type with their voice. They watch movies online. Smartphones do the work of telephone operators.

Because technology is growing fast, some old jobs are going away. At the same time, new jobs are coming to meet new needs. For example, drone operators use drones to take photos for travel blogs, check plants on farms, or send small packages to homes. AI trainers teach smart computers to understand people's words better. This makes chat tools smarter. VR content makers create fun virtual worlds for learning or games. People can visit new places without going out.

These new jobs did not exist (存在) a few years ago. But now, many people are doing them. The job world is always changing. No job can last forever. We should not just stay in our comfortable places. We should keep learning new things. They can be basic computer skills, drawing on computers, or talking well with others. Learning helps us get used to change.

If we keep learning, we can keep up with the times and find our places in the future job market.

Do you know "spidermen" in the city? They are not real spiders. They are window cleaners who work high above the ground. Their job is dangerous but important.

These workers usually start their work early in the morning. They carry special tools and wear safety ropes to make sure they are safe. Cleaning windows of tall buildings is not easy. Strong winds, heavy rain or hot sun—all these are big challenges for them. But they never give up.

However, there are also joys in their work. Many people are grateful to them. Some people even prepare drinks or snacks for them on hot or cold days. When they see the clean windows and the smiles of people, they feel proud. They know their work makes the city more beautiful.

International Workers' Day is a special day for them too. On that day, people around the world celebrate the hard work of all workers. These "spidermen" also get recognition for their efforts.

I am a community librarian. I  (work) here for two years and really love this job. It has both fun moments and hard parts.

My job can be  (challenge). Every morning, I need to tidy the messy bookshelves left by readers. Books  (put) in order every day so that people can find them more easily. Before starting the job, I took a short  (train). It taught me how to take care of different kinds of books and talk to readers nicely.
