Wu Chengyan, 39, is a farmer and painter at Wuying Village in Shangqiu,Henan Province. One day in December 2025, he talked with an old man. The man said his biggest wish was to see Tian' anmen Square in Beijing. Many old people in the village had the same wish. 

So, Wu decided to make their wish come true. He spent five days painting the"Tian' anmen Square". The wall painting is 18 metres long and 8 metres wide. When he finished, he invited the old people to take photos with it.

In 2023, he painted a picture for his wife's grandfather. That gave him an idea: Why not paint for all the old people in his hometown? In early 2025, a movie called Ne Zha IIwas very popular. Wu painted more than 10 wall paintings about the movie. After that, people started calling his village"Ne Zha Village".

So far, Wu has finished over 40 wall paintings. These wall  paintings  attracted(吸引 ) many tourists.

Wu Chengyan shows that art is not just for galleries(画廊). With a brush and a kind heart, he turns walls into windows of hope. He brings the world to the old and fills a village with dreams.
