Last week, my father lost his job. After coming home, he  in his room and didn't come out. My mother was worried about him. She talked to him  outside the door, but he didn't say much. I thought losing job must make him feel inadequate (不够好的).

I decided to do something  . Evening came, and my mother went to the kitchen. So, I also went to the kitchen and carefully laid (放) the table. I took out my  favorite cup and tried to make everything look nice.

When dinner  ready, my father finally came out. He sat down and looked at the food. He was quiet for a minute. Then, he  had a small smile and said, "The table  very nice.  Thank you." He looked at us and said, "I'm sorry I'm so quiet. I'm just... scared (害怕的) to again."

Hearing his words, my heart felt warm. Suddenly, I understood him much  than before. Ilearned that everyone  feel scared sometimes, even parents. But most importantly, we still have love and support from  family.

Life is never smooth (平坦的), and we will surely meet hard times.  So, can we get through all those difficulties? The answer lies  our family. Family members care for each other face every challenge together. Whenever someone meets trouble or falls into bad mood, others will listen carefully, offer warm comfort and try their best  give help. With their support (支持), we can always find the strength to move on.

Here are a few ways to motivate (激发) children to do chores.

●Set good examples in the family. Children always watch their parents.  . So parents must set a good example and take chores seriously. This motivates children to do chores, too.

●Decide what kinds of chores children do. For younger children, give them easy work, like putting away their toys. As the children get older, 

●Tell children about the importance of doing chores. . Knowing the importance of doing chores helps to motivate children to do them.

●. When children finish the chores on the list, parents can reward (奖励) them by giving them a prize. A chore list also gives children a sense of pride (自豪感) when they finish all their chores.

●Give children some money to do more chores. . But it is not the best way. It's best to make children feel that doing chores is the work that they should do.

Can people with different personalities become friends? The answer is yes.  In fact, many friendships are formed exactly because of the differences in personalities.

Take Tom and Jerry for example. Tom is outgoing and full of energy. He loves to attend different activities and is always the centre. Jerry, on the other hand, is quiet and introverted". He enjoys reading books and spending time alone. Although they are different, they became good friends. They complement (补充) each other. Tom helps Jerry come out of his shyness and encourages him to try new things. Jerry, in turn, brings a sense of peace and thoughtfulness to Tom's life.

Another example is Lily and Rose.  Lily is very organized (有组织的) and careful.          ▲         Rose,however, is more spontaneous (自发的) and likes to follow the way.  They often have different ways of doing things, but they respect each other's differences. When they work on a project (项目) together, Lily's planning skills and Rose's creative ideas are mixed to make excellent results.

In short, as long as there is respect, understanding, and agreement, people with different personalities can not only become friends but also have a deep and lasting friendship.

"The word"introverted" means more interested in your own thoughts and feelings than in spending time with other people.

Kate Sessions was interested in trees when she was a child. While other girls didn't want to get their hands dirty, little Kate enjoyed picking up branches and fruits in the forest.  Kate thought the trees were like big umbrellas. They protected her, the animals and plants. Kate smiled as she walked among the trees, enjoying the sounds of birds. Not everyone felt at home in the forest, but Kate did.
