Before I came to China, tea was only a common kind of drink to me. However, my teaching at schools in China changed mind. 

During my stay in Chengdu, I watched students make tea in a traditional way. This ceremony（仪式）was about keeping ancient family traditions. In Beijing, I experienced the full tea ceremony. Even though I forgot some steps, no oneme. And then I learned that its focus is not on being, but on being present. In Quanzhou, a couple invited me for tea, we talked for more than an hour—not just about tea, but about life, family and dreams. I realized that tea is a languagefriendship in China. It brings people together. It is connected with family traditions and ancestors（祖先）. Even when friendstea in a simple way, they still show deep respect for it. 

Among the schools where I taught, students often gave me different kinds of tea leaves from their home towns. These werefrom the heart. For them, tea is more than a drink. It is a sense of belonging they can carry with them. And these tea leaves made me feel like a welcomerather than a tourist. 

Now, I' ve learned to enjoy tea. It is not just about drinking it, but about trying to understand the meaning behind it. 

Have you ever wondered what baby animals truly need? Is food enough? A baby monkey named Punch helps us find the answer. 

Punch is a young macaque（猕猴）at a zoo in Japan. His mother left him, and other monkeys refused to play with him. The zookeepers gave him a soft toy. To everyone's surprise, Punch hugged the toy tightly and treated it as his mother. 

Punch's story is very similar to a famous psychology experiment（心理实验）from the 1950s. An American scientist named Harlow did a study with baby monkeys. He gave them two fake"mothers". One was made of cold wires（铁丝）but could provide food. The other was soft and warm, but had no food. At that time, people believed that babies should love the mother that fed them. ____. The baby monkeys spent most of their time hugging the soft mother. They only went to the wire mother when they were hungry. This experiment showed that warmth, comfort, and love were even more important than food. 

Harlow's findings changed how we understand child development. They teach us that babies need more than just food. They need care, kindness and safety. This is called "attachment theory（依恋理论）. "A safe attachment helps a child grow up healthily and confidently. 

Therefore, from this experiment we learn that love and warmth are not just nice to have. They are necessary for life and healthy growth. 

Last autumn, my family and I traveled to Foshan, Guangdong. As the travel day drew near, my heart was1   excitement and expectation because I had long dreamed of seeing the beautiful Foshan Liang Garden. However, things didn't go well as we 2 after we arrived there.

"How are you?" is a nice question. It's a friendly way that people in the USA greet each other. But when a person says "How are you?", he hopes to hear the answer "Fine.", even if (即使) the person's friend isn't fine. Because "How are you?" isn't really a question. "Fine." isn't really an answer. They are usual ways of saying "Hello" and "Hi".

Sometimes people also don't say what they really mean. For example, when someone asks "Do you agree?", the other person may be thinking, "No, I don't agree. I think you are wrong." It isn't very polite (礼貌的). So they may say "I'm not so sure." It's a nice way to say that you don't agree with someone.

Many people around the world keep a diary. They write in it every day. Here are some tips for writing good diaries:

Diaries are a special kind of writing. The words used in diaries are not like those in other articles.  Writers often use short sentences instead of long ones. They add words like "wow" or "oh no" to show feelings. Sometimes they even draw pictures to make their diaries lively and fun.

 This is because writers are writing about themselves and really writing to their future selves.

Diaries are often very personal(私人的).  They often write down their true feelings and personal things.

What's more, diaries are about things that happened.  For the same reason, it is important to write the day and month. Many people love keeping diaries, because diaries can record their life stories. 

Sugar painting is also called "Tanghua". It's  a painting and a snack. People, especially kids love its 62. colors and sweet taste.

Sugar painting  a history of more than 500 years. It started in the Ming dynasty (朝) and became even more popular in the Qing dynasty. At first, people used sugar  animals. For example, for the Spring Festival 65., people drew dragons, phoenixes, and fish—symbols of good luck. Over time, this sugar art  ideas from Chinese shadow puppet (皮影戏) and paper-cutting. Slowly, it turned into sugar painting as we know it today.

The number of sugar painters is getting smaller. Luckily, some of  still hold on to this art. Sugar painting is very  from painting on paper. A sugar painter uses the spoon to "draw" with the hot, liquid (液体), brown sugar on a marble slab (大理石板). The painter works  because the sugar will become hard when it cools in just a few minutes. They can draw a beautiful picture of a bird, a fish or a dragon.
