Free Cinema Childcare

We're giving you the chance to have a great night with free cinema childcare every third Thursday of the month.

Leave the kids with our childcare workers to watch the movie of the month and enjoy free drinks while you enjoy some time together.

Where: Event Cinemas, Level 4

When: Thursday, September 19th

Sign-in: 5:30 pm-6:30 pm

Movie time: Starts at 6:30 pm for about 1.5 hours until 8:00 pm

Event ends: 9:00 pm but children can be picked up after the movie between 8:00 pm-9:00 pm

The way of booking has changed. All parents must print and complete this form (表格) and bring it along on the night. There is no walk-in (未经预约的) booking.

Please keep in mind:

·Children need to be at least three years of age in order to stay and play.

·Food provided: Free hot dogs and apple juice. Popcorn (爆米花) can be bought before you check in.

·Children are encouraged to bring along their own water.

·Toileting of children is provided during the movie. Parents please tell children that they only need to ask a friendly worker if they need to go. They are more than happy to help

My Community, My Home

People across the country are creating civilized communities in many ways, and my community is taking an active part. 

Flatbreads (饼) can be found almost in every corner of the world. Liangfen guokui is one of the most popular flatbreads  local people. It is a famous traditional snack with a long history from Sichuan Province. 

In Chengdu, a kind-hearted grandma named Yan Yinghua  (make) Liangfen guokui for nearly 10 years. Her shop is so popular that there are always people waiting in line outside. She sells about 2, 000 pieces every single day, and  number can rise to 3, 000 on busy holidays. Many people say that her flatbreads are always a good  (choose). No doubt, her business is  (true) a success.

After she left school, she returned to her hometown to set up a farm. She made up her mind her dream by growing better fruits in the desert. However, life was not easy at all. Many fruit trees died in the hot and dry weather. She faced lots of hard problems but she never gave up. To solve the problems, she learned from experts (专家) . She watched the desert environment and tried new growing ways patiently. With the experts' help, she created a special new way to grow fruits on sand . 

This new way is very useful and it brings benefits. The clean sand keeps the planting environment healthy. Modern technology helps her the water and food for trees with her phone. She can easily manage the growth of the fruits in smart ways. 

Finally, her hard work paid off. Most of the fruits were similar in size and shape and sold very well. Her farm now grows over 450, 000 fruit trees each year, providing local villagers with more jobs. Everyone feels about the future. The once empty desert has become a beautiful land full of sweet fruits and hope.
