Have you ever read Dune（《沙丘》）or watched the films? People living on the planet of desert wear specially designed suits. These suits collect sweat（汗）and urine（尿）and transform them into clean drinking water. This may sound like magic, but some places in the world are already recycling wastewater in similar ways. These places are in scarcity of water. 

I recently visited Jenfelder Au, a new neighborhood in Hamburg, Germany. There was an experimental wastewater reuse project. People here are looking for smarter ways to use water. Traditionally, water flows into a city from outside, and wastewater is sent back to treatment plants far away. This new system separates wastewater into three streams（水流）to be reused locally. 

Rainwater is collected to water the gardens. "Gray water" from kitchen and bathroom sinks is used to flush toilets. And "black water" from toilets is sent to a local treatment plant to be turned into biogas（沼气）. The system reduces water use by 30 percent and produces electricity for hundreds of homes. 

Perhaps all new neighborhoods around the world could follow Jenfelder Au's example. The big challenge lies with old houses. It's hard and expensive to replace their pipes and systems. But it happened with lighting. Most homes and cities have updated to LED. We update our homes and cities every 10 to 15 years. We can make use of this cycle and encourage people to try new water technologies. Over time, more and more people will start using water wisely. More and more water will be saved. 

Toad threw himself on the floor of the jail（监狱）。

Each color in China holds a story, painting our traditions and dreams. 

Grain Rain（谷雨）is the last term in spring and starts on April 19 and ends on May 4. Grain Rain comes from the old saying, "Rain brings up the growth of (hundred) of grains, " which shows that this period of rainfall is very important for crops. The Grain Rain symbolizes the end of cold weather and a rapid rise in temperature. 

Here is a fact  you may not know about the Grain Rain: with the increase in temperature and rainfall, the grains grow faster and  (strong), so it is important  (protect) the crops from insect pests. 

Beyond agriculture, cultural traditions also play important role during the Grain Rain season. In southern China, people drink tea on the day of Grain Rain, while people in northern China have the habit of  (eat) the vegetable toona sinensis（香椿）during Grain Rain. Both practices are said to prevent bad luck.

If you are interested in sports, it is natural that you would want to be good at them. You need the right way of thinking and other qualities. Here is some advice-to help you out.

Shenzhen's Yantian District is at the front of China's low-altitude economy（低空经济）change. This new place uses cool technology like drones（无人机）, air taxis, and smart delivery systems that work below 1, 000 meters. Yantian is a role model of using these new ideas in city life. 

One key project is the" Sky Drone Corridor, " which uses self-flying drones to deliver medical things and food. They make delivery time 60% shorter than before. For example, a 10-km delivery that took 40 minutes in the past now only takes 15 minutes. These drones have good guiding tools, so they can get to the right places quickly. 

To keep the airspace safe, Yantian developed the" Smart Sky Platform". It uses AI to watch low-altitude flights all the time, preventing dangerous situations. Since it started, the number of flight accidents has dropped by 80%. 

However, there are still problems. Drones make too much noise and the rules for using the airspace are still getting better. Yantian is testing noise-reducing drone designs and working with the government to make clear flight rules. 

In order to develop in more ways, Yantian is also working with different research places and companies. They are getting ideas from all over the world to solve difficult technical problems and make the low-altitude economy better. In the future, Yantian plans to make its low-altitude network bigger with air taxi services and rescue drones. 

As Chinese users get used to looking through Xiaohongshu (Rednote) every night, they are seeing a flood of English-language posts. At first, people shared pet photos and memes on Rednote. Now, it's much more. During the period when TikTok was banned in US, American netizens（网民），calling them selves"TikTok refugees（难民）", came to Rednote. They ask about life in China and even write to Li Hua——a made-up Chinese character. 

Li Hua first appeared in the English test of the National College Entrance Exam in 1995. Since then, generations of Chinese students have once been Li Hua, writing to introduce Chinese culture, exchange school experiences, and share their dreams, mostly to an imaginary American friend. 

For many Americans, this was the first time they had heard about Li Hua. They use their broken Chinese, some in video clips, and some in poor handwritten Chinese.
