This gympie-gympie tree has stinging hairs all over the whole plant. If you touch（摸）the tree, you will not forget it, because it will bring you pain（疼痛）. This pain may stay with you for hours, days or even weeks.
Scientists at the University of Queensland have been working hard on this. They are trying to find out why this plant can bring people so much pain. Now they find some reasons（原因）.
