I'm Sara. I'm a middle school student. At school, we have nine subjects—— maths, English, Chinese, science, geography, history, art, PE and music. My mother is a Chinese teacher and she says Chinese is beautiful and important. I like Chinese. I always read Chinese books before I go to bed. I also like history. It is my favourite subject. Mr Brown is great fun. In his history class, I can learn many interesting stories. 

Mr Green is my maths teacher. He says maths is useful and interesting, but I think it is boring. My science teacher, Mrs Smith, is nice. I listen to her carefully in class. But I can't do well in the science exam (考试). I don't know why. This subject is really difficult for me. 

We always have art, PE or music classes in the afternoon. For me, the classes in the afternoon are fun and relaxing. In PE class, I like to play ping-pong with my PE teacher Mrs Miller. She plays very well. 

It's Tuesday, 12th November. I'm really busy today because I have classes all day. I think Chinese is interesting and I like it very much. Then at nine I have an English class. It's interesting. At ten, I have a history class. It's boring.At eleven, I have a music class. That's my favourite subject! I eat lunch at twelve and after that I have a rest (休息)!I have a geography class. My geography teacher is Mr Wang.  We all like him very much. I have a maths class at three. It's difficult. All my classes finish at four.That's all my day at school. 

Hello！My name is Liu Ying and my English name is Cindy. My favourite subject is English. For some students, English is boring. For me, it's really interesting, because we can do some fun things in class. 

Look! The woman in the photo is our English teacher, Miss Green. She is twenty-five years old and she is from Britain. Her Chinese is very good, but in class she only speaks English with us. 

Why is her English class so interesting? Before class, she reads a short story to us. It is relaxing. In class, Miss Green likes using picture cards to help us to learn English. We can play games in class too. And role-play is my favourite in her class. We play the roles in the book to learn English. It's great fun! 

We have five English classes a week, three in the morning and two in the afternoon. We're happy to see Miss Green every schoolday.

I Don't Want to Be Your Pet

Hello, I'm Bob. I'm 12 years old. I am at school now. I want to say something about me. 

Playing volleyball is my hobby. I like it very much. I always play volleyball with my friends after school. It's relaxing for me. I have five volleyballs. They are under my desk. And I like to watch volleyball games on TV. 

I like some food. I have eggs, milk and some fruit for breakfast. For lunch, I have hamburgers and some salad. For dinner, I like chicken and some vegetables. I don't eat ice cream. It's not healthy. My favourite food is fruit and vegetables. I think they are good for our health. 

I'm healthy because I like to play sports and eat healthy food. What about you? Can you tell me about your hobby and eating habits?

One sunny Sunday morning, Alex and Emma were playing ball in the park. Their dad was sitting on a bench (长椅)reading a newspaper. 

After a while, Emma stopped. She walked over to Alex. "It's too hot, " she told him. "I wish I had my sun hat. " Alex agreed, "I wish I had my hat too. "

Emma saw Dad folding(折叠) his newspaper. "I have an idea, "she said. Emma asked Dad for two pages. She folded each page a few times. Then she put one on Alex's head. She put the other one on her head. Alex smiled, "This paper hat is nice!"

They sat down next to Dad and watched everyone in the park. Some people were having a picnic. Some were playing. And some were walking their pets. 

A moment later, it became windy. Some people started flying kites. "I wish I had a kite, " Emma said, watching a butterfly kite in the wind. 

"Or a plane, " Alex said, pointing(指向) to a toy plane. 

"I have an idea!" Emma took off her hat. She folded it in another way. "A paper airplane!" Alex folded his hat into a plane too. 

They threw their planes into the air. Emma's plane flew past Alex's plane. Emma laughed, "I won. "

They flew their planes until they heard thunder(雷声). 

"Let's go, " Dad said. "Or we' ll need a boat to get out of here. "

"Hmm, " Emma said. "I have an idea. " Emma folded both planes in another way. Then they left, after Emma put two paper boats on the bench.
