Did you read a story about honesty (诚实)? I read a (n)  story about it yesterday. 

A king  old and knew it was time to choose a new king. So, he gave plant seeds (种子) to a group of young men, and ordered  to plant these seeds. He also said that after one year, all the young men needed to  back with the plant. After checking (检查) their plants, he would  which man to be the new king. 

A young man, Ling, also  a seed. He planted the seed in the pot (盆) and watered it every day. But nothing grew out from the  pot. One year passed, all the other young men showed their beautiful  to the king. Ling  only show an empty (空的) pot. But to their surprise, the old king chose Ling to be the new king. In fact, the seeds were cooked and couldn't grow at all. Only Ling was honest. 

So, always  to be honest. 

Life is not easy, so I'd like to say "No matter what happens, believe in yourself. " 

When I was a young boy, I was so [ʃaɪ] that I never talked to anyone. My classmates often  (laugh) at me. Later, something happened and changed my life. It was an English [spitʃ] contest (比赛) .  I had trouble speaking English, my mother still asked me to take part in it. "Come on, boy. Believe in yourself. If you keep on  (try), you are sure to win the contest. " Then mother and I talked about many different  (topic). At last I chose the topic "Believe in yourself. " I practiced it over 100 times.  my mother's help, I did very well. I won  first place. My mother was [praʊd] of me. She felt so excited. 

From then on, no matter what I do, I try to tell myself to be confident and I live  (happy) now. 

In the future, children will better  with others in the society. 

We will     that famous scientist tomorrow. 

There are still many difficulties ahead. But they will   every challenge, thanks to their shining spirit. 

Take less water, or the lake will   within the next 100 years. 

Many things can put you in a bad mood (情绪) in your everyday life. Having bad moods too often is bad for your mental (心理) health. . 

Accept your mood.

. Your friends and parents can also have bad moods sometimes. Bad moods are normal. 

Let your bad feelings out.

When you feel unhappy or angry, don't hide your feelings. You can find a way to let them out. For example, . You can read some books. You can also do some interesting activities. 

Set a new goal (目标)。

Making mistakes sometimes can put you in a bad mood, too. . For example, if you didn't do well in an exam, try to get five more points next time.

No matter what makes you feel bad, it will end at last. As the saying goes, "No matter how cold the winter is, the spring will come at last. " Remembering this will help you feel better. 

My school life is a learning experience for sure. It gives me trust and inspiration (灵感) . Most importantly, I have got a lot of knowledge and life skills. For me, my school life gives me many joys in life. 

Till now I have been a student at my school for nine years. For me, it has been an amazing golden age. It is like the happiest dream. Here I began to learn the alphabet and now can use different ways to solve problems. I can never forget the warm welcome on the first day when I came to this school to study. It determines (决定) why my life at school is so important to me. My life at school makes me learn something new almost every day. It helps me to get an understanding of knowledge. Besides this, it helps me to succeed ____ in my studies ____ in activities. 

In the past, I also made a lot of mistakes. During my school days, I can remember how naive (无经验的) I was. Yet thanks to my friends and teachers, I corrected my mistakes and kept on studying hard. That is how I found the real meaning of love from school life. In my ears, their words are still ringing. 

I still remember my friends and me sharing lunch during the lunch break, playing basketball on the court, taking part in different activities, and of course, taking the short trips. Now that I look back, it is no less than a fairy tale. I entered my school crying, not wanting to let go of my mother's hand, scared of the new place and new people. And now I leave it crying, scared of leaving that place, those friends and teachers. 

Have you had a headache during a test? Have you ever been so worried about something that you have a headache or even can't sleep at night? If so, then you know what stress is. Stress is what you feel when you are worried about something. This worry in your mind can make your body feel bad. You may feel angry, sad, or afraid—all of them can give you a stomachache or a headache. 

However, there are different kinds of stress. Some kinds of stress are good and others are bad. Good stress might happen when you are called to answer questions in class or when you have to give a speech in public. This kind of stress can help you to get things better done. For example, you may do a better job on your test if the stress pushes you to prepare better before the test. 

On the other hand, bad stress can happen if the stress lasts too long. You may not feel well if a family member is ill, if you are having problems at school, or if anything else makes you unhappy every day That kind of stress isn't going to help you. And it can actually make you sick. 

The best way to fight the stress is to have a balanced life. Make sure you keep in mind: sleep, exercise, relaxation, and food. If you get enough sleep and eat healthily, and if you exercise and leave time to have fun, you will feel less stressed. 

Huang Xuhua, the chief designer of China's first-generation nuclear submarines, passed away at the age of 99 in Wuhan. His life was a story of dedication and hard work for China's defense technology. 

Born in Guangdong in 1926, Huang grew up during war time. He studied shipbuilding at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and joined the Communist Party of China in 1949. In 1958, he was chosen to lead a secret project: designing China's first nuclear-powered submarine. At that time, China had no experience in this field, and foreign countries refused to share technology. 

Huang and his team faced huge challenges. They collected information from newspapers and studied two American submarine models. Without computers, they used simple tools like abacuses and rulers. To avoid mistakes, three groups checked every calculation. Even when the project was paused (暂停) from 1962 to 1965 due to economic difficulties, Huang never gave up. 

Finally, in 1970, China successfully built its first nuclear submarine, becoming the fifth country in the world to do so. Huang's name was kept secret until 1987 because the project was highly confidential.Even in his 90s, Huang worked daily to teach young engineers and share his knowledge. His first submarine is now displayed in a museum, and he received China's highest honor, the Medal of the Republic, in 2019.
