Break the Rules Day (违规日) is on the second Wednesday, in June in New Hope School. On this day, students can break some rules to have fun.

●You have to pay one dollar when you break a rule. The school library can buy new books with your fines (罚款).

My name is Tina. There are many rules in my life. I think these rules are important for me.

At home, I can't play computer games on weekdays. I can play them for only half an hour on Sunday afternoon. I think it is good for my study because I can have much time to study. I must make the bed after I get up. And I must clean my room every day. So my bedroom is always clean and tidy. My mother says keeping the room tidy is good for my health.

I study at Sunny Middle School. It is big and new. At our school, we also have some rules. We can't be late for school. So we must arrive at school on time. We must get to school before eight in the morning. We need to wear the school uniform every day. In class, we have to be quiet. We can't listen to music. We can't eat in class. We must eat in the dining hall. After class, we can't run in the hallways.

Tom has a happy family. There are some rules in his family. He thinks these rules are good for them. The following are his family rules. Let's have a look.

Keep healthy.

Being healthy is important. Tom's family play sports for one hour every day. Tom is in the school swimming club. And his parents run every morning.

Evening time is family time.

They can't watch TV or play computer games after dinner. The family usually sit on the sofa and talk. Tom always talks about his school and friends. Sometimes they take a walk together.

Always say "I love you" and "Thank you".

Tom says "I love you" to his parents in the morning before he goes to school, and in the evening before he goes to bed. His parents say it to him too. When Tom helps his mother, she says "Thank you". They show their love and thanks all the time.

I Like Doing Sports

Doing sports is good for our health, and now more and more people start to do sports in their free time. Three students are talking about their favourite sports on WeChat.

I do some running and play basketball in the PE class at school, but I think they're boring. I spend most of my free time swimming because it helps me keep fit. I think nothing is more interesting than swimming.

My favourite sport is karate (空手道). I learn it in a club. Maybe many of you don't know it. It's a Japanese fighting sport. I use my feet and hands to hit and kick sandbags when I practise it. I also like football very much and I often play it with my friends.

I really love riding a bike. My father teaches me to ride it every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I also like cricket (板球) a lot and I often play it in autumn. I think the two sports are both interesting and can keep me fit.

Mark is a 16 - year - old student. He has very healthy life. However (然而), he is not so healthy these days. From Monday to Friday, he studies every day but hardly ever does any sports. He often uses the Internet. Although his parents ask him to exercise, he never does. He sometimes helps his mother with housework, only once a week.

I love sports. I go swimming every Monday and Thursday, and I play volleyball every day after school. But I left the teams in September last year, because I had to spend more time on my study. I seldom watch TV or play computer games.

The summer holiday is coming.  He thinks health is very important. I hope I have little homework and can do some outdoor activities.

A lot of people play sports, but very few people become sports professionals (专家). If sports aren't going to be your future, then why should you play them? In fact, playing sports is really good for you.

First of all, sports are a great way to exercise. Exercising keeps you healthy and strong. When you exercise, your body makes endorphins (安多芬) and they can make you feel happier.

Also, sports teach young people how to work as a team. They teach young people to respect (尊重) the players from the other team. Many reports say that sports help young people stay out of trouble. This is because sports teach people about rules.

Another good way of sports is that they make people leave their houses. When you play sports, you go outside and exercise in the sun. You take in fresh air. All of these things are important.

Maybe you're not going to become a sports professional, but that doesn't matter, sports will help you become a better person.

PE is becoming more and more important. Students need to run 1,500 metres every day. But how do they feel about it? Are they ready to run?

Lin Tao is a 12 - year - old student from Beijing. He usually runs in PE class. He usually runs 800 metres in one class, but never tried 1,500 metres. He can run 1,000 metres in three minutes, so he is OK with the new rule. But not all students in his class like the new rule. Li Hua is Lin Tao's classmate. She doesn't like running.

Liu Lei is from Dalian. He is 13 years old. He thinks the new rule is a good idea. Many students are worried about the new rule because they only run 400 metres in PE class. Some students think that they may feel tired and want to sleep in class after running, but Liu Lei thinks running can make them strong.

Zhao Ming is a 14 - year - old girl from Qingdao. Students in her school need to run 600 metres in Grade 7 and 800 metres in Grade 8 in PE class. And in winter, they run about 1,500 metres. It's OK for her to run 1,500 metres.

There are 45 students in our class. I have made a survey. 36 students say they like to exercise. Most boys play basketball together twice a week. But girls think basketball is difficult for them, they'd like to play volleyball together twice a week.

My friend, Tony, is good at running. He runs the fastest in our class. He runs for 30 minutes on the playground every evening before he goes to bed. Is it interesting? Gray is good at swimming. He goes to the swimming club three times a month in winter, and three times a week in summer. So he is pretty healthy.

Some of my classmates have good eating habits. They eat both meat and vegetables. 70% of them drink milk every day. 15 students say they drink milk three or four times a week. But some students like to eat junk food, especially Sally. What's worse (更糟糕的) is that she doesn't like to exercise, so she is very fat. "I'm going to lose weight (减肥) tomorrow," she always says.

My grandpa was getting older and he had problems walking. And his legs often hurt. One day, one of his friends advised him to try Tai Chi.

"Tai Chi?" asked my grandpa. "Is that a kind of tea?" His friend laughed and said, "No, it isn't. Tai Chi is a kind of exercise. It is very slow and not difficult to learn. What's more, it's very good for your legs and health."

At the beginning, my grandpa didn't want to try it. He said, "I don't like exercising." To help my grandpa, my family decided to give it a try. We went to a Tai Chi class with him.

It seemed very easy. However, after I tried it, I found it was not easy at all. Even my brother John, the best basketball player in his school, fell a few times when he was trying to do the movements (动作). But my grandpa was interested in Tai Chi at once.

Guess what! Now, he goes to classes every day. Although he is about 80 years old, he doesn't have difficulty walking any more.

Bees live in colonies. The queen l eggs. Workers collect pollen and make h . Drones mate with the queen. Bees are important because they pcrops. Sadly, their numbers are d due to pesticides. We must p them by planting flowers. 

Animals play irreplaceable roles in human lives.  For example, dogs guide the blind, horses assist in therapy, and bees ensure our food supply. However, human activities like deforestation and pollution threaten their survival. 

To protect animals, we must act now.  Supporting wildlife reserves and reducing plastic use are effective steps. Education is also key. Schools can teach students about endangered species and how to help. 

Remember, every small action counts.  Together, we can build a world where humans and animals thrive side by side.
