Florence Nightingale was a nurse and the founder of modern nursing. Her parents gave her the name  she was born in Florence, Italy. She liked visiting sick people and tried her best to help them, she often went to hospitals. She decided to become a nurse  she could help more people in need. She was trained as a nurse in 1851.

In 1854, Crimean War broke out. She chose to go to a British military(军事的) hospitalshe could take care of the wounded soldiers. What she saw there was terrible, it was very dirty(脏的)in the hospital. She worked hard she could save many soldiers' lives.she took good care of them, they recovered soon. She often carried a lamp(灯) with her to light her way at night, people called her"The Lady with the Lamp". In1859, Florence wrote several books about nursing  she could start the first training school for nurses later. On August13th,1910, she passed away.

Florence Nightingale is a great hero in a special way  she sets a good example for the women in the world. We should learn from her.

When it comes to friendship, I'd like to start with a photo. The photo  I like best is put in my bedroom. When I have trouble (study) or I'm worried about an exam, I always take a look at it. It is a photo of my two friends  was taken three years ago. It makes me think of the good time  we have shared and the support the friendship still gives me today.
