Bermuda Triangle(百慕大三角) is in the Atlantic Ocean, near Florida in the USA. During the past 60 years, more than 1,000 seamen on ships andpilots on planes (lose) their lives there. It is knownas "The Triangle of Death" for its strange sea water and sudden storms. The (strange) part is the light of the sea water, which looks so bright that it can(see) even from a spaceship. 

At 2:00 p. m. on December 5, 1945, five planes (take) off in the fine weather from the airport of Florida for a training task. Two hours later,  leader in the sky reported that he was "completely lost" . Then there was (silent). Another plane was sent to look for them and also disappeared. 

One of thelargest (ship) that had disappeared in the triangle was an American coal ship, 500 meters long. The weather was good, and there were no messages for help before it was "gone". No broken ships  dead bodies have been found so far. 

No one is able(tell) how all these accidents have happened. A group of Japanese scientists went there to see what it was really  in 1995, but nothing has been heard of ever since. The Bermuda Triangle is really a mysterious place!

The world is full of mysteries. These mysteries challenge our understanding of the world. 

●Stonehenge, England

Stonehenge is a famous place in England. There are many big and heavy stones in a circle on the ground. Some people think people in ancient times buried the burned bodies of important dead

people here. But some of them seem to have come from far away, which is quite special. 

●The Moai Statues, Chile

Easter Island( 复 活节 岛) is home to another kind of stone monument—the Moai Statues. They look like important historical people on the island. Their heads are very large and their bodies are sometimes buried in the ground. 

●The Nazca Lines, Peru

The Nazca Lines in Peru were made thousands of years ago. People made them by etching(凿刻) into the earth's surface. Some are straight lines, but others form images(图像) like plants or animals from high above. 

●Crop Circles

Crop Circles can be seen all over the world. The most famous ones are on English farms. These images, like the Nazca Lines, are clearest from up in the air. For years, people didn't know

how they formed. Then, in 1991, two British men said that they had made many of the crop circles around England from 1978 to 1991. Today, people just make them for fun or money. 

Eating habits are different in different （country） . There is a Chinese saying "Eat good things for breakfast, eat a big meal for lunch, but eat （little） at dinner. " Many Americans think one （suppose） to start the day with a good breakfast but their ideas about lunch and dinner are different. 

Most Americans only give （them）a short time for lunch. So they eat a small lunch. After work they will have more time to eat  big dinner at home. Also a quiet dinner at home with all the family talking about their day is a way （take） a good rest after a long, hard day of work. 

Eating at restaurants is also different. In China, people like to talk and laugh while eating. Very often you can hear people （talk） and laughing loudly and they are just having a good time. In America it is not  this. They want a quiet place where they can eat a good meal far away from the noises ofthe outside world.  someone is talking too loudly, the manager of the restaurant will look at him or her （angry）. 

Jin Ying is a lover of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She took part in a three-month training course on acupuncture and tuina in the winter of 2023 at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. 

Jin's life has been different since the training. She changed her life habits after learning the Five Elements Theory. For example, she avoided sweating too much during exercise in winter because the cold of winter means people should slow down, according to TCM. For her, learning these skills and theories was not about becoming a TCM doctor but rather about living a new lifestyle. 

She is not an unusual example of young people becoming interested in TCM. A survey by China Youth Daily showed that 93. 3 percent of the 1, 000 young people who took part had tried different TCM treatments. 

"I have seen a rising number of young people come to me for neck and back pains, which are usually related to the elderly, "said Ma Huifang, a TCM doctor at a TCM hospital. 

"Between Western medicine and TCM, young people often choose TCM because of its efficacy, "according to Ma. Some people question why TCM treats the same illnesses with different prescriptions. "▲This is actually an advantage of TCM rather than a shortcoming, as it can be a more accurate treatment for different patients, "Ma explained. 

Younger age groups are accepting TCM, and, at the same time, TCM is also benefiting young people. As Jin noted, "It helps young people understand Chinese medicine well. "
