①Do you have a good friend? Do you know what a good friend is like? A good friend shares good times with you—— you have fun together, and they make you smile. They also listen to you and help you even when things aren't so great.

②Friendship is very important in our lives. So in 2011, the UN made a special day for it!The International Day of Friendship is on July 30th every year. The idea is that friendship between different groups of people, countries and cultures can help us live better.

③But the International Day of Friendship on July 30th is not the only day when people celebrate friendship around the world. Some countries celebrate on different days. For example, Brazil and Spain celebrate Friendship Day on July 20th. And in India and the US,people celebrate it on the first Sunday in August. In Finland, people celebrate Friendship Day on February 14th.

④There are many things you can do on Friendship Day. You can make a card or write a note to tell your friends why they' re great. You can also make them a small gift like a cake.

⑤All in all, the International Day of Friendship is a good time to have fun and celebrate with friends, and maybe make some new ones!
