Right now, they're busy recreating the big cats' mountainous home at the zoo.
We want you to create an amazing snow leopard poster that encourages people to take action on climate change! Draw a snow leopard and choose one of the pledges below to add to your poster.

In March 2025,China's Ministry of Education(教育部)announced that all high schools should start giving students two full days off on weekends from the fall of 2025. This news caused a big discussion online.
Some people support the rule. They think high school students are often short of sleep and under great stress. The two-day weekend can help teachers and students rest and let students better manage their studies and stay healthy. However, some people worry. They are afraid that without school guidance, some students may waste their weekends. Also, they think it may lead to educational unfairness as families with more money can hire tutors(家教).
For incoming high school students, there are good ways to use weekends well. On the one hand, planning study time is important. Make a schedule on Friday evening. Use Saturdays for homework and review, and Sundays for preparing new lessons and improving weak subjects. On the other hand, reading books, taking online courses and correcting mistakes are useful study methods.
For relaxation and health, students should get enough sleep, exercise daily and spend time on creative activities at the weekends. They can also learn life skills at home and gain real-world experience by doing volunteer work or trying out related jobs.

Once there was a naughty boy. He picked two same acorns (橡树果) from the same tree and planted them in two different places. He planted the first in the middle of a forest and the other on a hill by itself.
Do you know what happened later? The acorn planted in the forest lived happily. It enjoyed the sunshine and rich soil. It wasn't afraid of strong wind and heavy rain at all because there were so many trees standing around it. It was protected well by them. It grew fast. It looked strong but in fact, it became weak because it didn't spread its roots (根) for support. At last, it was easily blown down in a storm. What about the acorn standing on a hillside? It had to face every storm and wind by itself. As a result, its roots were deep into the earth and spread in every direction, even wrapping (包裹) themselves around large stones. At times, it seemed the tree wasn't growing fast enough but the growth was happening underground. It knew it must make itself strong enough to protect from the threatening (恐吓) of winds and storms. Year by year, it stood straight there all the time no matter how bad the weather would be.
So don't be afraid of adversity (困境)! Welcome it, please! It is necessary for us to meet it because it is the route (途径) to every success.

For many years, historians thought the Altar Stone at the center of Stonehenge, England's famous historic place, came from Wales. However, new research suggests its journey was much longer. According to a study published in Nature, the stone may have traveled all the way from Scotland—meaning that builders transported it across more than 750 kilometers around 5,000 years ago.
The Altar Stone lies partly buried inside Stonehenge. "For many years the central stone has been a mystery, lying in what should be the most important part of Stonehenge," says Joshua Pollard, a historian.
Stonehenge was built in several steps, beginning around 3000 BC. Researchers believe builders placed the 13,200-pound Altar Stone there sometime between 2620 and 2480 BC.
No one knows exactly how the builders moved such a heavy stone. Researchers think that people during the Neolithic Period(新石器时代) used rivers and waterways to transport heavy objects. For example, a large stone tool was once moved from Normandy to Dorset. So, it's possible that the Altar Stone was also transported in the same way when building Stonehenge.
However, another historian Mike Pitts thinks a land journey is also reasonable. "If you put a stone on a boat out to sea, not only do you risk losing the stone— but also nobody can see it," Pitts says. "On land, many communities would see the journey, and the stone would become more valuable…… as it traveled south."
Pitts also adds that the study is so important because it shows that ancient groups of people were good at communicating and working together even though they were very far apart.
Altar Stone
What it is: The 13,200-pound Stone lying in the most important part of Stonehenge.
When it was placed:
Between 2620 and 2480 BC.
Where it came:
It may have traveled much farther than people thought— not from Wales butcovering more than 750kilometers around 5,000 years ago.
How it traveled:
* People might have transported it by.
* People might have transported it by land for and higher value of the stone.
What the study shows: Ancient groups of people had good although they were far apart.
