Lyu Jingwen is nine years old. She can't Lwalk because of a disease. She got to thetop of Huangshan Mountain on Monday with the help of volunteers. As part of a charity (慈善)activity to celebrate Children's Day, Jingwen and more than 30 other children with rare diseases from across the country were carried up the mountain. 

"* After learning about the mountain through a textbook in school, I dreamed of visiting it, but I thoughtI had no chance (机会) to make it to the top, " she said. Jingwen lives in Guangdong. She had a bad disease when she was two years old, and   ▲   .

"After knowing about the children with rare diseases years ago, I started to learn about their suffering (痛苦)and that of their families, " Cheng said. Then he started to help them in 2021.

On Wednesday, China's Deng Yawenwon the BMX freestyle(自由式小轮车) at the Paris Olympic Games. The reporter talked with her after the final (决赛). Deng felt very excited and happy. She thanked all her coaches for teaching her carefully. She was happy that she made a good decision seven years ago.

 Jiang Shumei, 87, an illiterate(不识字的) grannywho learned how to read at age 60, has paintedmore than 300 paintings and written 6 books, realizing a big change in her twilight years.

Roman art from thousands of years ago was recently found in the ancient ruins(遗迹) of Pompeii, Italy. The city was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the year 79, and much of it was kept (在······下面) stone and ash. 

Archaeologists (考古学家) have been working to dig out the remains of Pompeii for (百) of years. UNESCO named it a World HeritageSite and said it"shows a complete picture of an ancient Roman (城市). "

The recent discovery is the most important in(很多) years. Experts found a big house with the letters"ARV" on the walls. This (意味着) that Aulus Rustius Verus, a rich Pompeii politician, had the house. 

The team found a (大的) dining hall that was nearly intact(完整). The room is about 50 feet long and 20 feet wide. (它的) walls were painted black and had frescoes(湿壁画) on them. The frescoes show Greek stories about (英雄).

Skara Bra e is a well-preserved (保存好的) Stone Age Village built around 5, 000 years ago in the Neolithic period. 

It is on the largest of the Orkney Islands, Mainland, which is off the north coast of Scotland. 

There are remains (遗迹) of eight stone houses. Most are a circular shape, with one main room. The rooms have a fire pit(深坑) in the middle and beds built into the walls. None of the houses still have a roof. Maybe they were made from something that rotted away like animal skin or seaweed(海藻). 

There are no windows and doorways are low to help keep the bad weather out. Doors are stone slabs(厚板). House Eight is the largest of all the buildings. It stands apart from the others and has no beds. 

Artefacts like jewelry and bone tools uncovered at the site help us learn about the people who lived there. 

◯No weapons(武器) were found, which tells us they lived peacefully. 

◯Remains of fish and shellfish tell us they were skilled at fishing. 

◯Animal bones and evidence of crops grow n nearby tell us they were some of Britain's earliest farmers. 

Fresh water was from nearby lakes. Because no trees grew on the island at that time, seaweed was probably used for cooking. 

It is thought that 50—100 people had lived at the site for 600 years. 

Experts have discovered over 900 ancient Chinese artefacts (手工艺品) from two shipwreck (沉船) sites at the bottom of the South China Sea. These artefacts are from the Ming Dynasty, which lasted from 1368 to 1644, and include items(物件) such as ceramic dishes, porcelain containers(瓷容器), and copper coins. 

The shipwrecks, found in 2022, are about 5, 000 feet deep and 14 miles apart. Scientists believe that they were trade ships carrying goods. A team of experts used an underwater instrument to explore the sites. With the help of remotely operated vehicles (远程操纵车辆) and robotic arms, they were able to find many artefacts. High-resolution cameras and 3D laser scanners helped take pictures and videos of the shipwrecks. 

Researchers said that the two ships traveled on the sea during different times of the Ming Dynasty, from 1487to 1521. In total, the team discovered 10, 000 items from the two ships. * They found 890 artefacts from the first shipwreck, which was believed to be carrying porcelain from Jingdezhen, a city known as the"porcelain capital"of China. From the second shipwreck, they found 38artefacts. 

China's National Cultural Heritage Administration stated that these shipwrecks are important to China's trade and cultural exchanges(交流).
