Long long ago, the Jade Emperor(玉皇大帝) held an animal race. The first 12 animals to win could get a 1 in the Chinese Zodiac(生肖 ), and have a year named after them.

It's the year of 2100. Everyone can live up to 125 years old if he eats healthy food and takes exercise. I am90 years old now. I still do well in my work. People often ask me 1 I can keep healthy. I think breakfast is very important. I often have a glass of milk and two eggs for it at about 7:00 a. m. Milk and eggs give me energy.2 I don't often feel tired in the morning. I 3 eat snacks. I don't think they are healthy food.I have some rice and 4 for lunch and dinner. I eat fish and meat too. And 5 meals, I usually have an apple or a banana. What's more, I do some exercise every day and sometimes play chess with my friends too. Have a good lifestyle! I am sure you can be healthy.

It is 9 o'clock at night. Laura is brushing her teeth in the bathroom. The tap is on and the water is always running. Her parents are watching TV in the living room.

"Turn off that tap," says an angry voice. "You're wasting water." Laura looks around, but there is no one there.

"Who are you?"

"I'm a drop of water. Do you know where I come from?" "From the tap?" asks Laura.

"A few days ago, I was in a cloud and fell from clouds as rain," says the drop of water. "I fell into a river and then ran into a reservoir (水库). It was time for the people to clean me."

"Clean you?" Laura asks. "Yes. I was dirty at first and they cleaned me and put some special things in me. Then I went through the pipes (管道) under the streets and now I'm here."

Laura asks, "So is this the end of your journey (行程)?"

"No. People will make me clean the second time. I'll run into the sea."

"Yes. My trip starts there. Remember not to waste or kill me. Try to be kind to me. I'm useful and important in life."

Laura turns off the tap right away and comes out of the bathroom.

Many schools like to plan school trips for the students. The school leaders(领导) and teachers know that students sometimes need to learn outside the classroom.

Some school trips let students see more about nature. The students visit zoos, mountains, forests or sometimes a farm, for example. The teachers want the students not only to know about nature, but also to love it and look after it.

Other school trips are for students to learn about their city or interesting jobs. Some schools take students to visit a hospital or a newspaper office. These kinds of school trips help students learn about jobs and help them be thankful to the people.

Students usually love school trips! They can go out of the classroom and have some fun. The teachers know that students can learn a lot when they relax and have fun. School trips can please both the teachers and the students.
