On a summer weekend, Mike and his brother Sam went to a pet shop. They wanted to buy a birthday gift for their sister, Anne. There were birds, dogs and cats there. They bought a cat at last. They thought it was so cute. Anne must like it.

What is huinantian? It is a special kind of weather in South China in spring. It happens when the weather becomes warmer. Before it comes, there are usually a few cold days with a temperature under 12℃. After the cold air goes away, warm air quickly comes and gets cool. This makes a lot of water vapor(水蒸气). So you can see small water drops on windows and walls.

What should we do on wet days? Close the doors and windows. Mornings and nights are important times to stop wet air from getting into rooms. Also, you can put newspapers on the floor and at the door to take in(吸收) water and wet air.
