Memory: your brain is like a muscle-- use it or lose it

The human brain is very small and light (only two per cent of our total body weight), but it needs about 20% of the oxygen(氧气）that our body takes in. We can't think well if our brain isn't getting enough oxygen, so always make sure there is enough oxygen in the air when you need to learn or remember something!

No one can remember everything, but everyone can Learn how to improve their memory. Here are some tips- none of them can make your memory 100% perfect, but all of them are helpful:

●When you want to remember something, tell a friend about it. This way the new information becomes more memorable. Later on, think about the conversation with your friend. It will remind you of the information you wanted to remember.

●Don't over-train your brain. When you've remembered a List of new vocabulary, stop studying. It's better to study a Lot of material for a small amount of time than a small amount of material for a lot of time! But remember: you do have to practise your new vocabulary regularly.

●Our memory works well when we are asleep. If you want to remember something, go to bed and go to sleep immediately after learning it.

●If you have to remember something big, break it down into smaller sections. Its easier to remember 198756430387 if you break it into four smaller bits: 198 - 756 - 430 - 387.

●If you want to remember a piece of information, and you can't, don't get angry. Relax and tell yourself, If it's important I will remember it later.

●One of the best ways of remembering is to make "pictures" on the "movie-screen" of your mind - and it's fun too! Experts say that our brain works a Lot in pictures. So sometimes, if we want to remember new information, it helps to make a picture story. Anyone can Learn to do this.

Wilbur often thought of Charlotte. All winter Wilbur watched over Charlotte's eggs. For Wilbur, nothing in life was as important . He waited for the big day to come.

One sunny morning, Wilbur saw something move -- a very small spider. It was similar to Charlotte. Then three more , then eight , then ten ... Charlotte ' s children were here at the end.

When he got up, there were three small spiders on the wall .

" Hello ! Three of us are staying . We like this place, and we like you," said a very small spider . 

There were many happy days then . He loved Charlotte ' s children and grandchildren, but they could never take her place in his heart .

Yoga Club

Yoga not only improves flexibility(柔韧性), but also helps people relax. Students will have the chance to exercise while reducing some stress from life. The club will be open to 10-16 members from Grade 7 to Grade 12, and will meet once weekly ( on Tuesday ).

Basketball Club

Students will be able to develop their basketball skills and have the opportunity to compete in basketball games with members from other international schools. The club will be open to 10-16 members from Grade 5 to Grade 8, and will practice on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Public Speaking Club

The Public Speaking Club will be centered around the personal development of students along with developing public speaking skills. The club will focus on all skills in giving better speeches and improving communication skills. The club will be open to 10-12 members from Grade 7 to Grade 12, and will meet once weekly (on Wednesday).

Media Club

The Media Club teaches students the basics of journalism. The club has a wide range of activities like interviewing teachers and students, writing about big events on campus, and operating the weekly school radio broadcasts. The club will be open to .8-12 members from Grade 6 to Grade 12 and will meet once weekly ( on Monday ).
