My name is Li Hua. I'm a j high school student. I have a good time at school. I have seven classes every day. I love all my teachers, so I d to become a teacher like them when I grow up. Geography is a new s, and the teacher teaches us a lot about the world. Morning break starts at 9:40 a.m. and e at 10:10 a.m., and I often do some morning exercise.

We have a lunch break for two hours. I really enjoy e the delicious foods in the canteen. There are also many interesting after-school activities.

I really enjoy my school day!

"Forests!"

Forests are home to over half of the world's animals and plants. But we destroy more than 36 football fields of forests every minute and throw away thousands of trees in paper and card every day.

The oceans are home to millions of marine animals. They take in the Sun's heat, send it to the air and move it around the world. A lot of the rubbish we produce on land pollutes the oceans.

At opposite ends of the world, the Arctic and Antarctic are very cold lands. It is so cold that the sea is covered in ice. The fuel we use for energy makes the weather warmer. The land disappears.

People should respect nature and take care of it. Wouldn't you like to live here?

Water pollution

A lot of people, birds and fish die each day because of water pollution. Factories pollute the water. As a result, the water in many rivers and lakes is very dirty now.

Air pollution

In big cities, factories, cars and buses are the main causes of air pollution. Many people in cities now have health problems. For example, Mexico used to be a beautiful city and was a good place for people to live, but today there is lots of PM 2.5 in the air. And many people get ill because of the polluted air.

Soil pollution

In order to have a better harvest, some farmers use chemicals (化学物质) in their fields. That's bad for the soil.

Hope for the future

These problems are very bad for our future, so all of us should do something to protect the environment. If we can stop pollution, the Earth will become more and more beautiful.

Spring

To visit this city in spring (early April till the end of May), you need to bring lightweight (薄型的) clothing: long-sleeved shirts (长袖衬衫) or T-shirts, jackets and sweaters. It is warm, windy and dry but the temperature changes sharply between the day and the night. Dress warmly when going out at night.

Summer

Summer (from early June to mid-September) is very hot with much rain. This calls for light clothes as the temperature in July and August can be between 30℃ and 40℃. Short and heavy rainstorms may come suddenly in the afternoon on sunny days.

Autumn

The short but beautiful autumn (from mid-September to the end of October) is travellers' all-time favourite. Autumn in this city enjoys comfortable temperature and a lot of sunshine. Long-sleeved shirts and thin coats are necessary for autumn. From late October the temperature comes down sharply, so warm clothing is a must.

Winter

This city has a cold, dry and long winter from early November to the next March. It will not warm although it is sunny in the cold days. The temperature in December, January and February is usually below 0℃. Be sure to wear wool sweaters and thick coats for winter.
