Day after day, the rose never stopped being unkind to the cactus. The cactus, however, never got sad or angry. Instead, he always calmly said, "All lives have meaning."

For me, skating was more important than anything else in the world. Nothing else filled my heart with so much happiness. I spent 24 hours a week developing my skills. I had no social life or interests except skating. And I got the first place in nearly every match.

My accident was a big challenge for me. It didn't stop me from reaching success. Today, I'm a very confident person and I always face my life with a smile.

When we first met in a summer camp, we got along so well. But then something happened at a picnic. "Did you hear about the shopping centre news?" asked one of our friends Levar. "They want to cut down lots of trees to make room for a shopping centre."

"That's terrible! We have to stop that," I said.

Li Jun is a Peking Opera performer from the Shanghai Jingju Theater Company. The 59-year-old took up his smart phone and started livestreaming.
