I went on an exciting trip to Henan with my classmates. It was special because it was my  (one) time traveling without my parents. We spent five days (explore) the area and having fun. We really learned a lot!

One place we visited was Shaolin Temple,  it was the most unforgettable part of the trip. Songshan Mountain was  big and beautiful that I couldn't stop looking at it. Inside the temple, I saw many old  (building) and learned about the history. The sound of a big bell ringing made me feel calm and peaceful. 

But  (amazing) thing I saw was an old tree outside the temple. The tree trunk（树干）had lots of small holes in it. Our guide told us that the holes  (make) by monks（和尚）practicing kung fu. Every day, they punched（拳打）  tree and they did it for many years. This made me think how hard work and practice help us improve at anything we do. 

Looking back at this trip, I'm  (thank) for all the fun and lessons it gave me. What a special trip it is!

Last Saturday, I went to the library as usual. I love going there because I can find so many interesting books.  （在······之间）the bookshelves, I saw something really cool——a robot! At first, I couldn't  （相信）my eyes. I thought robots only lived in movies!

Some people might think robots will make librarians lose their jobs. But I don't think so. Robots are great helpers, but librarians can tell us interesting stories and help us choose the best books.  （除非）we try both, we won't know how well they can work together. The robot makes the library more fun and useful, and I can't wait to visit it again!

Nature is like a big, beautiful home for all of us. But right now, our home is in trouble  some of our actions. The  is changing, and it's getting warmer and warmer. Exactly, this is happening because we use a lot of energy from burning things like coal and oil.

Two Canadian teenagers, Faiz and Leo, have been taking up many wonderful challenges. Their most recent achievement was following the Lake Ontario coastline for 73 kilometers, walking from Toronto to Hamilton, Canada, in about 18 hours.

The walk is now long over but Faiz and Leo haven't managed to challenge themselves yet, with plans to start a twoday 100 km walk in the near future.
