The video festival was held by CMG. It wanted to collect video works from all over the world. A Chinese folk concert by young musicians and an exhibition of creative Chinese characters (创意中文字展览) by artists were held at the Palais des Nations on April 23,2024.

The fourth CMG Overseas Chinese Language Video Festival invited friends around the world to learn about Chinese culture. The festival set up nine categories with 18 prizes.

The winners were invited to the Palais des Nations to take part in a series of activities to celebrate the 2024 UN Chinese Language Day. They also had the opportunity to take a trip to China. Then they could know about the traditions of China. The excellent video works were shown at the UN Chinese Language Day celebrations. People could enjoy them.

The meaning of the United Nations Chinese Language Day comes from Guyu (谷雨). It means "Grain Rain". It is the sixth of 24 solar terms in the traditional East Asian calendar. It pays tribute to (歌颂) Cangjie (仓颉). Cangjie was a famous man in ancient China. People called him the inventor of Chinese characters. This was the fourth year that CMG in Europe has organized the event on the United Nations Chinese Language Day.

One day, a strange man in a colorful coat arrived. He promised the mayor (市长) that he could drive away all the mice with his magic flute (笛). The mayor promised to pay him a bag of gold coins if he succeeded.

The strange man began to play his flute. As he walked through the streets, all the mice came out of their hiding places and followed him. He led them to the nearby river, and all the mice jumped into it.

The town was saved. However, when the strange man returned for his gold coins, the mayor didn't pay him the full amount. The strange man was so angry that he decided to teach him a lesson.

Once again, he played his flute. This time, it was not the mice but the children of the town who came out of their homes. They followed the strange man.

The mayor saw this and felt very scared. He ran to the strange man and said, "Stop! I was wrong. Here are all your gold coins. Please forgive me!"

The strange man saw that the mayor was truly sorry. He took the gold coins and stopped playing. The children woke up from the magic and ran back to their parents.

Everyone was happy again, and the mayor learned an important lesson.

Mao's2, Future Is Coming, is on display at the International Youth Art Invitation Exhibition in Florence, Italy. The exhibition celebrates 50 years of diplomatic (外交的) ties between China and Italy.
