There is a kind of bees with their own natural tools, too. The bees live in wood. Like people who make things out of wood, the bees use special tools to dig nests(巢 ) out of wood. They dig and clean out the nest to make it ready to use. When all is ready, they cut out pieces of leaves in the shape of nest. They then join the pieces together and put them into the nest.

Ants are also famous for their clever use of natural tools. For example, they drop pieces of leaves into water so that they take in the water. Then the ants carry them back to their nests.

There are more insects than any other living things in the world. Every insect is special. The more you notice them, the more they will surprise you.

From red apples to green watermelons, fruits come in many different colors, including white. red, blue, purple and black. Why do differcn t kinds of fruits have so many colors?

The colors of fruits actually come from their different pigments (色素 ), which depend on the temperature. To find out how temperature influences fruit colors, Chinese scientists studied more than 280 different fruit colors. They found that red fruits usually grow in cooler places and blue fruits mostly grow in warmer places. And instead of just growing in one place, fruits grow in many places around the world. The scientists also found that the closer the fruits are to the equator(赤道), the darker their colors will be.

Animals have also had an influence on the development of fruit colors. Animals eat fruits and drop the seeds in other places later. This helps the fruits spread and grow in different places. So. in order to draw animals, some fruits develop colors that are easy for animals to see.

However, animals see colors in a different way. Fruits need to develop colors that could be seen by animals. For example, birds can see red more easily than humans can. So usually, there are more red fruits in areas where birds live.

My"perfect holiday"
