"Let's go for a colourwalk," my seven-year-old sister said excitedly.

"What is a colourwalk?" I wondered.

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (青藏高原) is known as "the roof of the world" that is the highest plateau in the world. .

Though the weather conditions are not the same in different areas of the plateau, they have something in common. . The sunshine is strong and the temperature is low. It helps stop the cold wind from North Asia coming into South Asia.

Many earthquakes (地震) happen every year. Some of these earthquakes are very strong. When they happen in cities, they can be very serious. Many people will be hurt or die in the earthquakes. Knowing some ways to protect yourself will help to keep you safe in the earthquake.
