Last year，I had a great summer holiday. As a teenage girl，I was so excited to travel abroad for the first time. My family and I got onto a plane and flew to Vancouver.

In their daily life，they do lots of fun things. After a day's work，you can see many people in the local parks. They like walking，talking with friends，or just sitting around to enjoy the fresh air. Old people often play Chinese chess together. They laugh and talk about their life. Young people may go jogging or play badminton（羽毛球） to keep them healthy. 

Food is very important to Chongqing people. They really love hot pot. Everyone likes the spicy taste of hot pot. Families and friends often go to hot pot restaurants. They sit around the table and cook all kinds of food like meat，vegetables，and mushrooms（蘑菇） in the pot. You can hear people talking and laughing in the restaurant.

 Keeping eye contact when someone is talking will help build trust because it shows interest. Put your phone away until your conversation is over. It says, "I don't want to read messages now — you' re more important."

 You might only be crossing your arms and legs because you' re cold, but that position(姿势) closes you off. It gets in the way of building trust. Make sure your body looks open to hear others' thoughts.

Smile and nod. That also shows you' re interested in what the person is saying.Using the right body language will make you seem polite.

Don't sit behind a desk. It could make the person you' re talking to put his or her own walls up. Try not to put a big barrier(障碍) between you.

Limit(限制) your note-taking. Sometimes notes are necessary, but make sure they doesn't get in the way of your eye contact. If you keep writing down what the other person says, that person could start thinking"What is he writing down?".

My interest in body language began with a teacher at university. He mentioned"Pinocchio(匹诺曹)" to me after saying that I always rubbed (揉) my nose when giving excuses for being late for his classes. In fact, when someone tells a lie, the person's blood rushes to the nose and makes it itchy (痒的). This little example of non-verbal(非语言的) communication encouraged me to become a body language expert. Now,I make a living by teaching people about non-verbal communication.

My study shows that human body language gives more reliable information than the words we speak. The words say one thing, but the body language may say something different. It is known that crossed arms show you are unfriendly or angry, but what about facial expressions, postures or gestures? All of these say a lot and can only be understood if you know how to read the signs.

Office workers always need my services and I try to help them become more confident by teaching them about body language. I give advice on handshakes and teach them the importance of personal space. They seem like small things, but they can be of great help.

Body language has different meanings in different cultures. How we can interpret(解读) body language depends on the situation, the culture and the relationship we have with the person. This means that there isn't one signal that has the same meaning all over the world. Body language is also interlinked (连接) with spoken language and a whole pattern of behaviour of a person. As well as that, different body language signs can complement (补充) each other to make a particular meaning clearer.

People communicate in many different ways. The most common way is by 1 others.Since we have realized that our eyes, face, hands and feet speak a lot about personality, there has been a growing interest in knowing how to 2 body language.

Last week, our Science Club (hold) a special stargazing (观星) activity.Since many wonders(奇迹) in the universe cannot (see) clearly with the naked eye, our teacher provided us with a powerful telescope (望远镜).  learning how to use it, I was soon able to see the planets and the stars. Through the telescope, they looked amazing, shining (bright) in the night sky.

Looking at the Moon and Mars offered me a chance to learn something different. I used5.(think) the Moon was a bright ball of rock, but through the telescope, I saw many (hole) and dark areas on its surface. When I looked at Mars through the telescope, it appeared almost red! I didn't understand why until I saw its surface was covered red soil. At that moment,I was really amazed.

Although it was a pity that some clouds stopped our stargazing event later, the activity still gave us a look into the universe. It was far (wonderful) than we had ever imagined.

Before this, I had thought stargazing was too difficult and boring, but that night changed(I) mind. It opened  new world full of wonders to me! Now,I can't wait to take part in more activities like this to learn about the mysteries of the universe and discover what lies beyond the stars.

The garden is located at the north-west corner of the hotel. It is big and beautiful and also provides food for the space restaurant. It's open from 9:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m.

C. Souvenir(纪念品) Shop

The shop is across from the garden. You can buy great things like planet rocks and space postcards here. It is open from 10:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m.

D. Space Room

The Space Room is on the west side of the hotel. It is open all day and is the best place to observe space and the Earth.

E. Sports Room

The Sports Room is right next to the Space Room. You' ll find good exercise equipment and fun games for children here. It is open from 10:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m.

F. Star Restaurant

The restaurant is near the cinema. You can enjoy a big meal or even try cooking with the help of our great cooks at the best restaurant in space. It's open from 7:00 a. m. to 11:00 p. m.

How much do you know about the Moon? Do you want to go there?  They have discovered that the Moon is an unfriendly place. There is no air or water, only dust and rocky mountains covering its surface. During the day, the temperature is very high.Daytime temperatures can reach 127℃ when the sun shines, hot enough to boil water! But at night, it drops to-173℃, even colder than Antarctica(南极洲).

 As we know, sound travels through air, but there is no air on the Moon. In the vacuum (真空), sound cannot travel. Even if two astronauts stood near each other, they would need radios to communicate. Even a loud crash would be completely silent!

From the Moon, the Earth looks like a bright blue-and-white ball hanging in the dark sky.  Many astronauts say seeing the Earth from space changes how they think about our planet.

Though challenging, China has made amazing progress in exploring the Moon. In 2013,Chang'e-3 became the first Chinese spacecraft to land softly on the Moon, carrying the Yutu rover(探月车) that studied lunar soil for 31 months. In 2024, Chang' e-6 successfully brought back 1.935kilograms of lunar samples(样本), helping scientists learn new things about the Moon's volcanic history.  Would you like to join future missions to build a lunar research station?

Wang Yongzhi, one of the most famous rocket scientists who played a leading role in China's manned (载人的) spaceflight programme, was awarded the Medal of the Republic in September 2024, about three months after his death.

Wang was born into a poor family in Liaoning Province in 1932. He studied hard when he was young. In 1952, he attended Tsinghua University. In 1955, he went abroad to continue his studies at Moscow Aviation Institute. However, two years later, Wang changed his major after learning that China needed students to learn how to design carrier rockets and ballistic missiles (弹道导弹). In 1961, Wang graduated and returned to China.

After returning, he worked on rocket design and designed a number of rockets and missiles.In 1992, he was named as the first chief planner of the nation's manned spaceflight programme,although he was already 60. The role brought him a great deal of pressure, but he stuck to his work because he thought it was his duty to make China's space dream come true. Under his leadership,China succeeded in its first manned spaceflight in 2003. For his contributions to China's spaceflight programme, Wang received the National Highest Science and Technology Award in the same year. In 2005, he saw the success of China's second manned spaceflight. In 2006, he stepped down from his role and became a senior adviser for China's manned spaceflight programme.

Wang devoted his whole life to China's space exploration. His hard work and love for the country helped make China's space dream come true. He will always be remembered as a true hero.

The Moon was long believed to be dry, but in recent decades, several studies have shown that there is water on its surface and inside minerals (矿物). Recently, scientists have discovered water inside tiny glass beads (玻璃珠) from the Moon, which could be used as a future water source for astronauts.The study, carried out by a team led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the glass beads"are probably the main reservoir (储水体) in the water cycle on the Moon's surface". The team studied 117 glass beads. They were in the soil collected by China's Chang'e-5 spacecraft inDecember 2020 and brought back to the Earth.

The glass beads are formed by tiny meteorites(陨石) that hit the surface of the Moon.According to the study, they may make up around three to five per cent of the Moon's soil and may store up to 330 billion tons of water on the Moon's surface. But how can we get the water from the glass beads?

"If we want to get the water out of glass beads, first we should collect them, then boil them and cool the water vapour(水蒸气). Finally, we will get some liquid water in a bottle," said HuSen, a scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. "There is good news. The glass beads are universal in the Moon's soil. They can be found in many places."

While much more research is needed, the glass beads may one day provide water for"explorers of tomorrow", helping them explore space.

As you know, in the space station where there's no gravity, everyone floats around, which makes sleeping dangerous. So I have to sleep in a sleeping bag to 4 my body. I can have 5 just like you do at home. But all the food is 6 . Food without water is hard to eat, so Isometimes put it into water before eating. Also, I need to be very careful when I drink water.

I often work for long hours. Sometimes, I even work outside the space station. Working in the real space is quite cool, but I must be very careful. I have already finished many science projects.

World Pangolin(穿山甲) Day is on the  (three) Saturday of February each year. It fell   February 15th in the year 2026. It's   day to help people know more about pangolins. 

Pangolins are animals that live in Africa and Asia. They have scales(鳞片) on their skin and feed on  (ant). Pangolins are important animals   they help protect trees in forests. 

However, pangolins are now endangered. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), more than 1 million pangolins have been killed or sold in the last 10 years. In 2020, IUCN  (add) the pangolin to the world's"critically endangered animals" list. Now pangolins are  (endangered) than pandas. 

The growing trade of their scales and meat is the main reason for their decline (下降) in number. Many people in Asia and Africa eat their meat, and some even use their scales to treat sick people. 

 (Lucky), this situation is getting better. A law has been made to stop anyone from  (buy) and eating pangolins. Breaking this law will be regarded as a crime(犯罪). The trade of pangolins across the world is also not allowed. 

"I hope more people will join (we) to protect pangolins from such a sad situation, " Zhou Canying told Xinhua News Agency. Zhou is head of the Wildlife Protection Association of Changsha, Hunan Province.
