The SQ3R method is used to study a text.  Developed by Francis P. Robinson, a psychologist (心理学家)from Ohio State University, the SQ3R is a useful reading method which has been successfully used by many students to learn English. 

Last year, I did not like English at all. Every class was like an awful dream. The teacher spoke so quickly and I was afraid to ask  because of my poor pronunciation. I just  behind my textbook and never said anything. 

But then something amazing happened—I found a super cool English movie called Toy Story. It was exciting and funny. I was crazy about it soon! Later I began to  other English movies, too. I could not understand everything the actors and actresses said, but their body language and expressions on their faces helped to get the meaning. Moreover, I could make it by listening for just key words. My pronunciation got by listening to the words in English movies. 

As time went on, I was  that listening to something interesting is the secret to language learning. I also learned useful sentences like"It's a piece of cake" or"It serves you right". In the  , I did not understand these sentences. But then I really wanted to understand the interesting story. I had to look up some new words in a dictionary. 

Now I find myself enjoying my English class much more. I my free time learning new words and more grammar so that I can have a better understanding of English movies. I  believe that learning English is like going on a super cool trip, and I'm ready for the exciting  ahead!

English is spoken by about 400 million people worldwide, mainly in countries like the US, the UK, Canada, Australia,  South Africa. In places like India and Singapore,  is used as a working language in offices or hospitals, though local languages  more common in daily life. In China and many other countries, English is  most important foreign language taught in schools. Learning it helps us communicate  others from different countries in the future. 

How can you remember a song for a long time? Why does your teacher use songs to teach you English? There is a scientific reason for this. 

Researchers are studying the relationship between music and remembering a foreign language. "Singing could be a new way of learning, especially for a foreign language. The brain likes to remember things in a catchy (悦耳易记的) and relaxing way. For example, children can remember difficult words quickly when they are in a song, "said Dr. Karen Ludke. If children find it difficult to learn foreign languages, this new way may help. On his blog(博客), Dr. Ludke wrote, "A listen-and-repeat singing way can help to learn foreign languages and open the door for future research in this area. "

Many language teachers know the importance of music and they often use it in teaching and learning.  HuaZhuying, a teacher at a Chinese language school in Washington D. C. , likes using songs in teaching Chinese. She said, "I use music all the time to teach children Chinese. For little kids, we usually use English songs but teach them the Chinese lyries(歌词). Not only does it work, but it is fun for children. Sometimes I think if I learned English that way when I was young, maybe I could speak English much better. "

Our brain likes music in learning languages, especially for remembering. If you are still having problems in learning a language, why not try singing it out?

In today's digital age, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a popular tool in our daily lives, including education. Many students, especially those in junior high school, are turning to AI tools to help with their homework.  While these tools can offer convenience,  they also come with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. 

AI does bring some advantages for students.  First, AI saves time.  Students can quickly find answers to difficult math problems or grammar questions.  Second, AI provides learning resources. For example, some tools explain solutions step by step, helping students understand topics better. Third, AI supports personalized learning. Struggling (挣扎) students can practice repeatedly with AI feedback(反馈), while advanced learners can explore harder tasks. 

However, there are also some disadvantages. Depending too much on AI can make students lazy and may stop them trying to solve problems independently. It's not helpful to improve their thinking skills. This can hurt their learning in the long run. Another problem is that AI tools sometimes give wrong answers, especially for open-ended questions like essays. Lastly, using AI can lead to cheating. Copying AI-generated work without learning breaks trust between students and teachers. 

AI can be a helpful study tool if used wisely. Students should treat it as a guide, not a replacement for their own efforts. Balancing AI assistance with active learning is key to success. 

There are many kinds of vegetables and fruits in the world. Besides eating them, we can still learn something useful about them. Let's have a look!

Liu Wei is very famous in China because he can play the piano with his toes (脚趾).
