This new kind of school is different from our present schools. Scientists will give talks through the Internet. What's more, this new kind of school will develop subjects that students can study on the Internet. Students can listen to talks, have lessons, read books, watch learning videos and do their homework on computers. It's very convenient. Also, parents can check their children's study through the Internet. In this way, they can know about their children's study easily and quickly.

Is that a dream? No. There are already a lot of schools using the Internet to give lessons. Those schools are connected to the Internet. A certain kind of ants, for example, can count their steps to stop getting lost. They can go as far as 110 meters and bring food home. These ants live in the open desert, so they have nothing to guide them along the way. It's like someone walking six kilometers through a dark forest.

The Grand Military Parade

It is said that Harvey Ball, an artist from the USA, created it. It began as a bright yellow circle with two dots (圆点) and a curved (弯曲的) black line. The white stick has been used by many blind people for a long time. However, it hasn't really been improved, until a blind engineer named Kursat decided to do something to change that. He hoped his invention would help the blind.

He invented a smart stick called the WeWalk. The smart stick uses built-in speakers and different sensors (传感器) to warn about possible dangers. It helps blind people in navigating (导航) around their environment. It makes their travel much easier. The stick is priced at around $500. It is less than half the price of most smart phones. Most people can afford it. This invention is going to change life a lot for the blind.

Kursat well understands the difficulties that the blind face. That's because he is blind himself. He decided to put his knowledge of technology into inventing something. It would not only change his life, but also the life of many others.

"In these days, we are talking about flying cars. But the blind have been using just a simple stick. As a blind person, when I am at the bus stop, I don't know which bus is coming or which stores are around me. Now that kind of information can be provided by the WeWalk," he said, "I believe life of the blind will be much easier and safer."

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th of the first month of the lunar calendar (阴历). This day is always the1 full moon in the new year. Ancient people also called it the Shangyuan Festival. Celebrations and traditions on this day2 from the Han Dynasty and became popular in the Tang Dynasty.

Watching the red lanterns is one of the main traditions. Lanterns of different shapes and sizes are usually put on trees or along river banks on display.
