※Introducing (介绍) yourself

If the person doesn't know you, introduce yourself after greeting him or her. Spell your name so he or she can remember it. For example, you can say, "Hello, my name is Jake Smith. J-A-K-E, Jake. S-M-I-T-H, Smith."

※Asking questions

You can ask, "How are you?" The other person might say, "I'm fine, thank you!" or tell you more. Please listen carefully so you can answer.

Cindy's favourite day is Friday. At 8:30 a.m., she has her first class, English. It's her favorite subject. She thinks it's very easy for her.
