It's often said that a dog can be a person's best friend. But that relationship can (test) when a dog begins barking at an empty corner of a room, at a door, or anywhere where there doesn't appear to be any activity at all taking place. Is the dog (communicate) with something that humans can't see? Or does it just want to drive its owner crazy?

In fact, dogs have excellent hearing. So they can hear (sound) that are higher in pitch( 音高). Actually, a dog could be reacting to a noise that a person nearby wouldn't be able (hear)．

Dogs can also see (good) in the dark than humans. If a dog is barking, it's possible that something has caught its attention. Maybe it's  wild animal, a leaf or a thief．

Some dogs might bark  they feel bored and a walk is probably needed. 

 might also be trying to get their owners' attention. 

Experts say that owners shouldn't punish their dogs for barking, since they're

(simple) trying to remain watchful(警惕的). But if a dog barks all the time, its owner might consider (take) the dog to the doctor．

"Look at this!" Fred said to his friend Tom. Then he 1 something on the road．

"Really? Oh! Thank you!" said Fred. When he looked at the watch in his hand, he felt another rush of joy—but this one was15 and much, much better. He had done the right thing!

Bermuda Triangle(百慕大三角) is in the Atlantic Ocean, near Florida in the USA. During the past 60 years, more than 1,000 seamen on ships andpilots on planes (lose) their lives there. It is knownas "The Triangle of Death" for its strange sea water and sudden storms. The (strange) part is the light of the sea water, which looks so bright that it can(see) even from a spaceship. 

At 2:00 p. m. on December 5, 1945, five planes (take) off in the fine weather from the airport of Florida for a training task. Two hours later,  leader in the sky reported that he was "completely lost" . Then there was (silent). Another plane was sent to look for them and also disappeared. 

One of thelargest (ship) that had disappeared in the triangle was an American coal ship, 500 meters long. The weather was good, and there were no messages for help before it was "gone". No broken ships  dead bodies have been found so far. 

No one is able(tell) how all these accidents have happened. A group of Japanese scientists went there to see what it was really  in 1995, but nothing has been heard of ever since. The Bermuda Triangle is really a mysterious place!
