I'm Jack. I often imagine what life (be) like in the future. Here I'd like to tell you my predictions about the future. 

First, there will be less pollution, because people will do their best (make)our earth a greener planet. I don't think people will buy paper books anymore in the future, they will read online. By doing so, they will help save more trees. And the environment will be (good). If everyone plays a part in (protect) our home, I believe the future will be hopeful. 

Besides, people will work fewer hours  they do now, because many robots will help them do the heavy and boring jobs. They will have more free time to go on holidays and visit different (place). They will even go to space to have fun. It will be really(excite)!

Where do you think people will live in the future? I think more and more people in the countryside will live in apartments in (city). They will live better and happier life. 

Robots often appear in books and films. Usually, they can think, listen, talk and 1 easily on two legs, just like humans. 

2 robots are becoming more and more complex(复杂的), they are still not like fictional(虚构的) robots. In life, robots come in different shapes and 3 . They can be tall, short, thin or fat. Some robots have long 4 and are able to walk. Others move on wheels. They can be very 5 or they can be very complex.

Fudan University unveiled(推出) a new humanoid robot at the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference. Standing 165 cm tall and weighing 62 kg, Guanghua No. 1 was the only university-developed humanoid robot among the 18humanoid robots on show at the WAIC. 

Guanghua No. 1 is an emotional (情感的) humanoid robot. One of its most amazing features is the ability to show four feelings — happiness, anger, sadness, and joy — on its facial display screen. It can also wave its arms and walk upright. 

Gan Zhongxue, a researcher from Fudan University, said the robot focuses on meeting the growing needs of China's aging population. "Our market research(研究) showed that the old are in great need of the humanoid robots, " Gan said. "So we tried our best to create a‘health partner' to provide great care and help for the old day and night. "

Researchers of the humanoid robot Guanghua No. 1 began to work on creating it in 2022. And the team planned to release(发布) a trial version(体验版) by the end of 2024. They were doing tests in several provinces to make sure of the robot's care abilities. They planned to introduce it to a few places the next year. 

When you want to go to a party, you may hesitate(犹豫) to tell your parents. You are afraid that they may not allow you to go. can you do to get their permission(许可)?Here is some (advise) for you. 

Firstly, you should do well at school. That helps your parents trust you makes them have no reason to say no to you. Then you can go to the party, relax and enjoy(you) there. 

Secondly, don't lie to your parents. Tell them who you will go  and when you' ll come back. If they still don't want you to go, you should explain your reasons.(usual), they are understanding. 

Thirdly, don't argue with your parents. Listen to your parents' opinions. The more they worry about you, the (many) questions they want to ask you. It might make you feel (bore), but being angry with them is not helpful in communicating. 

Lastly, don't expect (get) a quick answer. It is usual for family members to take time to understand each other.(give) your parents some time to think about your request(请求). 

Nora was feeling bad. She thought it was the worst week in her life. On Monday, she broke her new watch. On Tuesday, she fell off her bike. On Wednesday, she made a mess of her favourite skirt. On Thursday, she missed her piano lesson. On Friday, her mum worked late so she had to stay at school for one more hour!
