Studying is usually the least favourite thing among students. Most of them dislike the idea of studying. Why? Shouldn't studying be a fun activity to do, especially in the path of acquiring (获得) knowledge? If you want to be good at studying, it is very important to have good study habits. As major domestic (国内的) official media have pointed out, pre-made food, as a product of industrial food production, has its advantages that cannot be replaced. It meets the needs for fast meals in a fast-paced society, helps food businesses cut costs and workers, and improves efficiency. What's more, it can reduce food waste through standard rules.

However, problems cannot be ignored (忽视). First, food safety is a top worry. If there is no proper check, long-term storage and complex supply chains may bring risks like microbe pollution. Second, the lack of clear information breaks consumers' right to know that many restaurants use pre-made food without telling customers, and customers pay for what they think is freshly cooked dishes. Third, some products have quality problems, such as using too many additives (添加剂) to make food last longer.

To make sure the pre-made food industry develops healthily, stricter checks are badly needed. The government should improve standards, make production and delivery checks stronger, and ask businesses to tell customers they use pre-made ingredients. Only in this way can the industry's growth be balanced with the protection of consumers' legal rights.

However, as they walked on, they found they were lost. Becky started to cry wildly.

He didn't get far when the floor in front of him suddenly dropped fast into the black world below. He stretched his arm to feel how deep the drop was. While he was feeling around, his hand touched another hand. Tom jumped back and held out his candle to see who was there. A face then appeared. It was the face of Injun Joe.

Thousands of people gathered early to watch this historic event, which sent a strong message of peace and strength to the world.

It began with a serious ceremony. President Xi reviewed the troops and gave a speech. The parade ended with a flight show of more than 100 planes, leaving colorful trails in the sky. President Xi's speech stressed again that China's promise is to keep world peace and its goals for becoming modern. As the country moves to become a fully modern society by 2035, the event showed both its pride in history and its hopes for the future.

As a university student, I decided to learn German. For some reason, I really liked the language, but I was not very good at learning it. The grammar1 me a lot and even drove me crazy. My only advantage was2—I got an A on every word test I took. After two years of study, I managed to communicate in broken German and applied to study in Germany to complete my degree. It was the3 term I would ever have.

The moment I arrived in Germany, I felt like I was making a fresh start. The German I learned in university wasn't4 for everyday conversation. Zara Rutherford, a 22-year-old pilot, is sharing her journey around the world and plans for pace travel.

Whether you' re being helpful or friendly, kindness makes a big difference to you and the people around you. 

World Kindness Day started in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement. It is held every year on November 13th to ask people to be kinder to each other. Kindness is something you do to help another person, not because you have to but because you want to make their life easier or happier. An expert Frances Trussell says it's a win-win situation. "Being kind helps you feel good about yourself. When you' re on the way to be a kind person, you will feel happier and have less stress(压力). That's the key to liking yourself. " But some people think it is hard to be kind, because they need to spend lots of time and energy(精力). 

In fact, there are many simple ways to be kind, from telling friends what you like about them to holding a door open, or from helping parents with chores at home to inviting a new student at school to play. 

You can even be kind to people without seeing them in person, by leaving warm messages for them to find. Kind words are endless. The more kind words you say to yourself and others, the happier you will feel. 

Acts of kindness can create a ripple effect (涟漪效应), which means one act of kindness can lead to more kindness. For cxample, if you help a friend with their homework, they are more likely to do something kind for others.

Are you troubled by mosquitoes(蚊子) ? Did mosquitoes bite(咬) your legs everywhere? Is it difficult to keep away from mosquitoes? Now, a new study shows that the colors you' re wearing also play a role in that. 

People have already found that mosquitoes look for their food by smelling carbon dioxide(二氧化 碳 ). But recently, rescarchers from the University of Washington put the mosquitoes into small test boxes with colorful points. When there was no carbon dioxide in the boxes, the mosquitocs would ignore the points. No matter what color the scpoints are, it scemed that mosquitocs cannot see them. As long as researchers put carbon dioxide into the boxes, they flew towards red, orange or black points. But they didn't care points that were green, blue or purple. 

"Light colors arc seen as a danger to mosquitocs. That's because mosquitoes are casily dead becausc of strong sunlight and short of water. Instead, darker colors look like shadows(阴 影 ), which arc loved by mosquitocs. " said Timothy Best, one of the researchers.

The first time I ate Sichuan hot pot was in Changchun. I had only been in China for a week when Rui, my new Chinese friend, asked me, "Have you ever had hot pot?"

 "No, what is it?" I answered. 

 "It's good. You' ll really like it. See you tonight at 7?" 

And so it was decided. 

We found a table at the crowded hot pot restaurant. Soon a large hot pot arrived. The hot pot itself had two sides. In one side was a cloudy white broth(汤). The broth in the other side was covered with bright red oil. 

"Is that red pepper(辣椒) oil?" I asked. 

"Yes, " Rui answered. "You should try it. If you like spicy(辣的) food, you' ll really enjoy it. " 

Rui picked up a thin slice of mutton and put it in the red broth. In seconds, it was cooked, and he put it on my small plate. 

Rui pointed to the red broth and said, "If it is too spicy, you can use the other one. " 

"No. " I said, "this is fine. " 

But it was more than fine. It was spicy and amazing. I ate and ate until the restaurant was almost closed. ▲    

In China, people like to joke that there is no problem that a bot pot can't deal with. Over a hot pot people can talk and share not just food, but friendship. While the food may soon be forgotten, these friendships stay with us forever. Even today, when I think of hot pot, my friend Rui's face quickly comes to mind, and I remember all the good times I spent with him.

① Delivery (外卖) service plays an important part in our daily lives. However, delivery drivers meet many problems. Entering buildings and finding parking and rest areas have long been headaches for them. Now they are being tackled by the government and companies. 

② In Chongqing, Shapingba District does a lot to solve delivery drivers' problems. It has set up delivery driver-friendly communities where driver-friendly maps are put up and parking areas are marked. And local companies are encouraged to offer drivers drinking water and places to rest and charge (给…… 充电) mobile phones. "These services are very thoughtful and can save me a lot of time," said Zhang Daru, a local food delivery worker.
