We human beings want to explore and better understand the world we live in. Through space exploration, we can learn the mysteries of our universe and better know our living environment.

Space exploration, especially the exploration of the solar system, is important to us. It provides us with knowledge about the start of the solar system, our planet and ourselves. It also helps answer the questions that have puzzled (使困惑) us for many years.

 We uses satellites to communicate. Satellites also help us observe changes in Earth's climate and oceans, and they are used in weather forecasting and the military (军事) as well. With space technology in farming, fewer people will go hungry.

 The cooperation(合作) helps bring peace and understanding between countries and their peoples. Many countries have taken part in space technology development, including the United States, Russia, China, Japan, the European Union and India.

On November 1st, 2025, the Shenzhou-21 successfully entered China's space station. Four mice were also sent into space along with the spacecraft! This is a special mission in China's space history, as they are the first small rodent(啮齿类) animals to be sent by China's spacecraft. Many people are excited about this news, as it marks an important step forward for China in space exploration and helps us learn more about life beyond the Earth.

These four mice were specially chosen. Before the mission, they went through strict tests. More than 300 mice participated in the tests. The tests were not easy. They had to show that they were in good health, could adapt to space, and could stay calm in strange situations. For example, they needed to keep their balance on a rotating (旋转的) stick for a long time without falling, and get used to sudden movements. Only the top four, which performed best in all tests with great patience and calmness, got the precious"space tickets" to start their special journey.

In space, the mice will live in a special small home.  ▲   This home can carefully control temperature, keep the air clean, and even change lights to suit the mice's daily needs. It provides all the necessities: food, clean water, and a system to deal with their waste. They stayed at the space station for about two weeks, and scientists watched their state closely day and night.

Why were mice chosen for this mission? Because mice's genes (基因) are much like humans'— about 85% similar. Studying them in space will therefore help scientists learn how humans can live safely and healthily there for long periods.

Aliens have always been full of mysteries. However, people from different parts of the world have alien abduction (绑架) stories to tell. Most of these stories have something in common. For example, most alien abductions are said to have taken place at night and the abducted people are mostly said to experience a medical examination(体检) in a lab. Interestingly, all the abducted people have returned safely to the Earth. Some people consider these stories as rumours, while others believe that they were real. Here are two famous alien abduction stories.

One was that of Betty Hill and Barney Hill. On September 19th, 1961, they were driving to Portsmouth,USA, when they saw a bright light in the sky. Soon some aliens came out of a UFO and moved toward them. The aliens soon abducted them.

The other famous story was that of Antonio Villas Boas. Antonio Villas Boas was a Brazilian farmer who was working at night on October 16th, 1957, when he saw a UFO with a red light in the night sky. He tried to run away from the object as it seemed to be moving toward him. But he was soon abducted by several aliens. He was taken into the UFO, where a blood examination was performed (执行) on him. When he returned to the Earth, he realized he had been abducted for four hours.
