Wash your hands. You need to wash your hands with soap and hot water before you eat，after you use the toilet，and after you touch animals，because your hands may carry viruses. 

Cover your nose and mouth. When someone sneezes（打喷嚏） or coughs，flu viruses can travel as far as one meter through the air，so you'd better keep a proper distance（距离） while talking to someone who has a cold. And always cover your mouth and nose with a piece of paper when you sneeze or cough，and then clean your hands. 

Wear a mask（口罩）. Some doctors say that masks can stop the flu as much as 80%，but if you don't wash your hands often，it's no use wearing a mask. And it's necessary to wear the mask in the groups of people. 

Do sports often. Exercises will help make your body strong enough to resist the virus. 

Each nation has many good people who help to take care of others. For example，some high school and college students in the United States often spend many hours as volunteers in the hospitals，orphanages（孤儿院） or homes for the aged. They read books to the people in these places，or they just visit them and play games with them or listen to their problems. 

Some people volunteer and work in the homes of people who are sick or old. They paint，clean up，or repair their houses，do their shopping or mow（修整） their lawns（草坪）. For boys who no longer have fathers，there is an organization called Big Brothers. College students and other men take these boys to baseball games or on fishing trips and help them to get to know things that boys usually learn from their fathers. 

Each city has a number of clubs where boys and girls can go to play games or learn crafts. Some of these clubs show movies or organize short trips to the mountains，beaches，museums or other places of interest. Most of these clubs use a lot of high school and college students as volunteers because they are young enough to remember the problems of younger boys and girls. 

Volunteers believe that some of the happiest people in the world are those who help to bring happiness to others.

Bijie: A Cool Tourist City in Guizhou(避暑胜地）

Bijie is one of the cities in Guizhou. It is very beautiful. There are many(place) of interest in Bijie. So many visitors from different places and even other countries come here for（ travel）. Like most cities in China, there are four seasons here. People here are  (friend). There are a lot of delicious food. 

Bijie, in northwestern Guizhou, is a great place for summer trips. It's cool here summer (only about 22℃!) because it's 1, 500 meters high. You can escape the hot weather and enjoy beautiful places. 

Visit Zhijin Cave! It (have) many strange rocks in different shapes, like trees or animals. Wumeng Prairie is also fun—you can(ride) horses or havepicnic on the green grass. For bird lovers, Weining Caohai is perfect (see) many birds near the lake.
