You may receive lots of gifts on your birthday. But have you ever thought about giving your birthday gifts to people in need? Kyle Breeden, a boy from the USA, has done that ever since he was six years old. In November every year, Kyle invites his friends to his birthday celebration. He asks each friend to bring a new toy to donate (捐赠) to Toys for Tots. 

Toys for Tots is a project which gives out toys to children whose parents cannot usually buy them toys. Kyle has donated a lot of toys to the project. And he plans to continue collecting toys for other kids for years to come. 

When Kyle was five, he asked his parents how he could help others. Kyle's parents were excited to hear that and they helped him get in touch with Toys for Tots. From then on, he has looked forward to his birthday, but only to get toys. 

He collects the toys and goes to the Toys for Tots celebrations to donate them. John Minadakis, who hosted a Toys for Tots celebration, said he had never seen someone give so much at such a young age. He believed the ability to put others before himself could take the boy far in life. 

Kyle feels good when he helps others. He hopes that through his example, other kids will be inspiredto give back. "Many people around my age don't have toys to play with. I want to do something, " Kyle said. "Even the smallest toy can make a kid's day. "

Start by reading a few minutes every day. Read every day, even if it is just for 10 minutes. Read when you get up early or before you go to bed. If you can, read at the same time every day. This will make your brain regard it as"reading" time. 

Read what you are interested in. Reading can be a trouble if you do not like the book. Reading books that you enjoy will help you stick to(坚持) your habit and become a reader. Once you have great interest, it's hard to put a book down. 

Carry a book everywhere. Books can be heavy and big, which used to make it hard to read everywhere. Now you can read books on a smartphone. When you are waiting for a bus or waiting in one at a store, open your book app and read. If you cannot read on an app, find a book that is easy to carry with you. 

Set a reading goal. A goal is something you are trying to achieve. Maybe your goal will be to read5 or 10 books this year, or you even try to read 100 books. Setting a goal will remind you to read every day. Reaching it will make you feel good and make reading even more fun.
