①Hua Luogeng was one of China's most famous mathematicians.  Born into a poor family in 1910, he left school at 14 to help his father in a small shop.  However, he never stopped learning.  Every night, after a long day of work, he studied math books by candlelight.

These people came from different backgrounds, but they all shared one thing: a strong belief in making the world better.  They faced many difficulties, but they never gave up.  Their stories teach us that anyone can make a difference, no matter where they come from. 

If you were asked to introduce Lu You, how would you describe him? A famous poet who loved his country? But do you know that Lu was also a "slasher (斜杠青年)" of his time? If he had a social media profile (个人资料), it might read like this: poet/ politician (政治家) / foodie/ cat lover.  

Born in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), he was one of the most productive poets in Chinese history.  About 9, 300 of his poems are still around today.  Many of these are filled with a wish to protect his homeland, making him a famous patriotic (爱国的) poet.  

As a politician, Lu tried his best to offer advice to the government.  At that time, the Southern Song Dynasty was often attacked by the northern Jin Dynasty (1115-1234).  Lu spoke out against the Song government's weak policy (政策) and called for fighting back.  However, he was downgraded because of this.  

Although disappointed with government work, Lu found joy in food.  While serving in the Shu region, he wrote over 100 poems about cooking and growing vegetables.  Many believe that his secret to long life was his healthy eating habits.  He even wrote a poem about the benefits of porridge.  

Lu also found comfort in his cat friends.  He wrote funny poems to his cats, showing how cute they are and how they gave him warmth on cold days.  That's what made him such a true cat lover! 

As a man of a great national dream and someone who loved life's small joys, Lu showed us that a full life can be built with many "slashes"!

During the Spring and Autumn Period, there was an official (官员) called Qi Huangyang living in the State of Jin.  One day, the king asked him who would be the right person to be the county magistrate (县令) of Nanyang.  Qi Huangyang 1 for a while and answered, "Xie Hu is the right person for the job. "

Jane Goodall，a world-famous scientist famous for her work with chimpanzees （黑猩猩），died at the age of 91.She passed away of natural causes in California，the US October 2025.Goodall was a United Nations Messenger （使者） of Peace and the founder of the institute.

A 48-year-old street vendor （小贩） named Li Junyong has become an online star in Jingdezhen，China.Known as "Chicken Steak Brother"，he is famous for cooking chicken steak in his own way and talking in a fun style.He often says things like "You can say no to me，but not my chicken steak." Many people like him and visit the city just to see him.

Yang Zhenning was a famous physicist （物理学家）.Born in Hefei，China，he died on 18 October 2025，at the age of 103.He loved science from his early years and worked very hard in school. 

In 1957，Yang made history with another scientist，Li Zhengdao.They found a mistake in an old science rule that people had believed for many years.For this great discovery，they won the Nobel Prize in Physics （诺贝尔物理学奖）.They were the first Chinese scientists to get this important award. 

Yang taught for many years in the US，but he never forgot China.When he returned to teach at Tsinghua University，he did many important things to help Chinese science.He started new research centres where young scientists could work together.He helped students learn how to do better experiments and write good science papers.He also worked with the government to make science classes more interesting for students.Many young scientists loved learning from him because he was always patient and kind. 

Besides his Nobel Prize work，Yang created the Yang-Mills theory （理论）.This theory helps scientists understand how the smallest parts of our world work.People remember him as both a great scientist and a wonderful teacher who inspired many young people. 

Yang's life teaches us that great scientists are also great people devoted to their country and to helping others.He will always be an inspiration to students everywhere.
