My Class Rules

Dear Li Ming,

I've been in Australia for about one week now. We are staying with my grandparents in Brisbane. The day before yesterday was Christmas Day, and I got lots of great presents! Mum and Dad gave me a new computer game called "Robert soldier". Auntie Flora gave me a very useful book called How to Learn English in 3 Weeks. But I think I'll need longer than three weeks to learn English! My grandmother gave me a shirt and a pair of socks. The socks are yellow and have red stars on them. I think they're very beautiful!

Most people think that Christmas is a cold time of the year. But in Australia, Christmas is very hot. Everyone wears T-shirts and shorts. In the middle of the day it is too hot, and Mum tells me to stay inside. She says the sun is too strong. It's bad for my skin.

Yesterday evening, we went to the beach to swim. The water was quite warm, and it felt really good. The beach was crowded with people. We didn't go back home until 11 o'clock at night. Next week, we're going to Perth to visit my uncle Bob. He teaches English in a university there. I'll show you all my photos when I get back to Shanghai next month. I'm looking forward to seeing you then.

William Shakespeare was born(出生)in 1564 in England. He was the best playwright(剧作家), the best poet and an excellent actor. He wrote many great plays.

When Shakespeare was young, he liked reading and he wanted to be a writer and poet. He always had his nose in a book. When he left school, he helped his father. At that time, he tried writing poems. He got married(结婚) in 1582 when he was eighteen years old. In 1587 he left his family behind and came to London to achieve his dream. First, he worked as an actor. His life was hard, but he was happy. While he was acting in the plays, he was writing his own plays. He kept reading books, meeting other writers, making friends and learning. Later, he began to write plays for the Rose Theater. People loved his plays so much that they came to watch the plays by lunchtime. By  1592,  London  was  hearing  the  name  William  Shakespeare  again  and  again.

Garfield Minot started making dinosaur models (恐龙模型) at the age of seven. Back then, he made  just for fun. Today, his love for making models  him have a cool dinosaur job.

When he was a kid in Jamaica, his mom often  him to make things out of flour (面粉) when she made bread. It was very 6.
