Also, sports teach young people how to work as a team. They teach young people to respect (尊重) the players from the other team. Many reports say that sports help young people stay out of trouble. This is because sports teach people about rules.

Another good way of sports is that they make people leave their houses. When you play sports, you go outside and exercise in the sun. You take in fresh air. All of these things are important.

Maybe you're not going to become a sports professional, but that doesn't matter, sports will help you become a better person.

PE is becoming more and more important. Students need to run 1,500 metres every day. But how do they feel about it? Are they ready to run?

Lin Tao is a 12 - year - old student from Beijing. He usually runs in PE class. He usually runs 800 metres in one class, but never tried 1,500 metres. He can run 1,000 metres in three minutes, so he is OK with the new rule. But not all students in his class like the new rule. Li Hua is Lin Tao's classmate. She doesn't like running.

It seemed very easy. However, after I tried it, I found it was not easy at all. Even my brother John, the best basketball player in his school, fell a few times when he was trying to do the movements (动作). But my grandpa was interested in Tai Chi at once.

Guess what! Now, he goes to classes every day. Although he is about 80 years old, he doesn't have difficulty walking any more.

To protect animals, we must act now.  Supporting wildlife reserves and reducing plastic use are effective steps. Education is also key. Schools can teach students about endangered species and how to help. 

Remember, every small action counts.  Together, we can build a world where humans and animals thrive side by side.

Bees are vital to our ecosystem. They pollinate over 70% of crops, including apples, almonds, and coffee. A single hive can visit 50,000 flowers in one day! However, bees face threats like habitat loss and pesticides. Scientists warn that if bees disappear, global food supplies would collapse. 

To help, people can plant native flowers, avoid chemicals, and build "bee hotels" for wild bees. In Germany, a project called "Bee Roads" plants flowers along highways to create safe paths for bees. Even small gardens can provide food and shelter. 

The Life of a Guide Dog

Guide dogs are carefully selected from birth. Puppies live with volunteer families for their first year to learn basic commands and social skills. At 18 months, they return to training centers for advanced lessons. They practice navigating busy streets, ignoring distractions, and recognizing dangers like low-hanging branches. Only the most focused dogs graduate. These dogs spend 8-10 years working with blind individuals before retiring. 

Retired guide dogs often live with their owners or new families. Their loyalty and intelligence make them beloved companions. However, training a guide dog costs over $50,000, funded by donations. Organizations worldwide rely on public support to continue this life-changing work. 

One stormy night, Sarah, a blind girl, was walking home with her guide dog, Max. Suddenly, lightning struck a tree nearby. The tree fell onto the road, blocking their path. Sarah couldn't see, but Max sensed the danger and pulled her back. "What's wrong, Max?" Sarah asked, 1 to understand.
