Car Free Day was first started by 34 cities in France on September 22nd, 1998. It was started to protect the 1 . By now, more than 1, 000 cities 2 the world have had a Car Free Day. 

The 3 Car Free Day in China was in Chengdu in 2001. Other cities, including Taipei, Shanghai and Wuhan, also support (赞成) the day. 

In Beijing more and more people are joining the campaign (活动). It asks drivers to 4 their cars at home for one day each month. On that day, people try 5 , taking the subway or riding a bike to work. It also calls on Beijingers not to use cars on June 5th (World Environment Day). The slogan for the day is, "If we drive for one 6 day, we can have one more nice day. "

Hello， everyone！ 

Emma is a young mum and she is good at making bread. With enough eggs and flour， she can make all kinds of bread in her kitchen.

In some of her bread， you can see pictures of famous paintings such as the Mona Lisa. You can also find many cartoon characters in the bread. For example， when you cut the Mickey bread， you can see the face of Mickey and some small pieces of bread. The small pieces of bread are all in the shape of the characters from the cartoon.

There is a lot of fun in making bread. Emma's son gives her lots of great ideas. Once he drew a picture of happy bees(蜜蜂)， and soon， they appeared in Emma's bread. Her son got a big surprise. From then on， Emma started to make such cute bread. "My little boy loves the bread， and he usually has two pieces for breakfast，" she said. She greatly enjoys the process(过程) of making bread and the joy it brings to people.

From famous paintings to her son's favourite cartoon characters， Emma shows that there is no end to her imagination. If we can use our imagination well， we can make things more fun and special， even when doing simple things like making bread.

Do you like aerobic(有氧的) exercise such as running， biking or swimming?  Aerobic exercise is good for our health. For example， people who often get aerobic exercise enjoy a life three to four years more than those who do not.

People get less aerobic exercise than ever before. One of the reasons is television. In the USA， for example， people watch four hours of TV a day， but only spend 27 minutes doing exercise！ A lot of doctors are worried about that and they say people who do not exercise are more possible to be tired or unhappy.

Schools are trying to solve this problem. They have two or three more PE classes in a week. In PE classes teachers teach students how to play， eat healthily and exercise. Through the subject， teachers and parents hope that their kids can learn good exercise habits when they are young， and keep them when they get older.

Aerobic exercise is now getting promoted at work. A lot of companies(公司) have found people are more quick-minded and creative in their jobs if they often get aerobic exercise. For this reason， many companies are now running sports programmes， holding sports competitions， etc.

How do you exercise?  There are many fun and exciting kinds of aerobic exercise. Find one that you like and keep it. It is healthy for the mind and the body.

Do different colours make us have the same feeling?  If we use correct colours in our rooms， we can have fun at home. If not， we may feel bad. It's useful for us to learn about colours. Let's have a look.

It is easy to see red in Chinese rooms. It is my favourite colour. It means happiness. But if your bedroom is red， you may not sleep well. That's because red makes us want to play sports.

Orange is a good colour for a dining room. People like having dinner and talking together in an orange room.

As a student， ask your parents to paint your study yellow. Yellow can help you think better. You may be very creative. So you can be good at school subjects.

Many walls of the rooms in the hospitals are blue. Why?  Because blue can make sick people feel quiet. They can have a good rest and become well soon. So use it in your bedroom and you can have a good sleep at night.
