 I joined the volunteer group, I've learned a lot about kindness and responsibility.

Many people  for volunteer activities every month to help those in need. 

As we all know, International Volunteer Day is on December 5th every year. People created it on December 17th, 1985. It's a day to honour volunteers all over the world.

Our country now has 450,000 volunteers. They have provided more than 4.5 billion hours of volunteer work. Someone says this kind of work isn't meaningful and wastes time. But I think we can get much from it.

First of all, volunteering is a good way to open our eyes. We may do something we never do and meet different kinds of people. We can talk with them and get their good ideas.

Secondly, volunteers, especially students, can learn much from practice. As students, we are interested in books and learn some knowledge from them. After we become volunteers, we will have the chance to put our knowledge into practice.

What's more, volunteering is good for our future job. That is to say, when we do volunteer work, we can get some experience and know how to solve some problems we have never met before.

In a word, volunteering is a form of practice and experience. We shouldn't say no to it.

If you are given only 1 yuan, can you live in a city for one day? It may be a little difficult. But students from Xi'an did it.

More than 60 boys and girls from the Middle School Attached to Northwestern Polytechnical University 1 the One-yuan Metropolis Survival  (都市生存) . The2 for teenagers called Imperceptible Education held this activity. It3 students with a chance to face real-life challenges. Students had to live and they had to deal with a lot of hard tasks. It has taken place in eight cities.

To make4 , many students looked for part-time jobs and saw how difficult life was. Zhang Qiyue asked over 10 restaurants for a job and5 got one chance. "We were sad when they said no. But slowly, we got used to it," he said. After being a waiter for an hour, he got twenty-five yuan.

Living was hard,8 finishing the tasks wasn't easier. They went to different places to finish tasks in a short time. The most amazing was when they had to exchange only a piece of paper for something worth a hundred yuan in half an hour."We learned how to persuade (说服) others. From a balloon to a cake... after almost 20 tries, we made a9 exchange and got an expensive necklace," he said. "We will10 all of the money to poor schools in Xizang." What a fantastic experience it was!
